We have had ours for a while now. We live in south Florida and the sun is hard on everything. It is holding up perfectly. We put the cushions in storage when not being used. Wish you all the best.

Interesting, as far as I know, I didn't have an extended cushion cover. We only had the necessary seat and back covers. It's been three years, and the unit still looks as good as the day we purchased it. Living in South Florida means we must store our cushions when they're not in use to protect them from the sun, which could otherwise damage them. Remarkably, the unit itself has stood up well to the intense Florida sun.

I did not attempt to attach the cushion initially and when I did I found it to be virtually impossible to do so. As you have already noticed the straps are not long enough. I got me some black plastic fasteners and went through the loop that holds the black knob to the cushion and strapped it to the frame. Hope this helps.

Thank you for this comment. I just put this together and thought I was going crazy because the ottoman and corner cushions are different than the rest and nothing was marked to show which was which
