Patrice Bergeron, his family and the Boston Bruins celebrated his milestone of reaching 1,000 NHL points at TD Garden December 17, 2022.

The fact that the Bruins organization asked for the Montreal Canadiens announcer to announce his accomplishment in french shows the class in both the organization for allowing this.

I'm an avs fan but a huge fan of the sport / league. I believe he's top of the chart as well with his attributes. What a good sole to have had ever in your presence

In the middle watching this and crying my eyes out... WHAT THE!? Then it struck me that his selfless attitude and deep caring for EVERYONE is very important to him, so this #37 ceremony must have been uncomfortable for him since he is always about Team and others.

Question, when exactly did he hit the 1,000 points? I saw the game where Marchand went to go celebrate and the team came on the ice, yet Bergeron had passed the puck to the person that passed the shot to the eventual goal. I don't knwo how those counts. Thank you for your help...

He was the 3rd person on the goal. So 2 players can assist on the goal.
