Patrice is right here. A man's love, means he's willing to give up the rest of his life for his woman, not only that, but that he's willing to give it up with the expectation that once he dies she can go ahead and continue her life with another man (think Titanic). For you to give that to a woman, when she hasn't really gone out of her way to earn it, is to sell your love and life short.
@youngknowledgeseeker3 жыл бұрын
It’s to sell your life and therefore worth. How much do you think your worth?
@hotlucky56222 жыл бұрын
it is. sadly men since the dawn of time have been encouraged to sacrifice stupidly for little return. it feeds into the supposed "expendability" of men. i believe this is at the root of what makes a beta male: "not valuing yourself".

I agree with that but I also feel that being a man, our lives don’t revolve around the other sex accepting us because we are a meal ticket. If we get rejected we just better ourselves and get a better woman next time. Women are working on a ticking clock. Men aren’t.

Patrice is completely correct. If you think "true love" is about being unable to live your life without another person, this isn't neither smart nor about actual love. You don't have to be emotionally and mentally devastated after a potential breakup to say you truely love someone.

@@danielhuelsman76 Paul is the first caller on this clip- you have to listen. Paul and Patrice represents an archetype for a certain "new age man" with old school (traditional values). Men are practical and rational - I completely understood why Patrice berated Opie - what he experienced is called "Falling in Love" and at any instance is unhealthy. Love to women is kinda method of control, its natural though, meaning like "love" to them means, "I have claimed you, so now this is how things are going to be, so here are the rules". I think they are just so naturally sensitive and emotional and insecure and maybe even entitled to their own emotion, they use the idea of what they call "love" as a way to make themselves feel safe with a man they get with. Because if you notice they are quick to mention love and "do you love me?", they are constantly bringing it up like its more of game your playing and you broke the rules. But its not that they are playing a game, but its more or less that they are so feeling based as a creature, love is this thing they tend to utilize to keep a man in a certain place where he won't exercise hia options of having other women, so it keeps him focused on her, It's a genuis way to affect you emotionally, by making you think how they think...so he may even feel shame when he looks and has sex or flirt with other girls, because again its more about control and entitlement if you allow to dominate you emotionally. (Not that they do this necessarily with that intent, it's just their nature most times) Love is kinda a emotional weapon of control unless your an aware and honest man and you are fair, then it becomes more of a thing a women just does while you do what you have to do as a man, while she loves you admires you and can't keep her hands off you. So in other words, if a woman says she loves you or falls in love with you, its important to appreciate the fact that she does, but its not your job to fullfill her fantasy or fall in love back, she feel in love with you in reality because of who you were with her in reality. ..and she is just emotional and idealistic and romanticizes everything when in reality to a man...its not that deep, until after sometime spent, which ia fair. Patrice is right, you give them romance like medicine, in smal doses here and there and they will love you forever. We are just opposites, men fall in love over time, they seem to fall in love in a daya or weeks time.
