Stanhope belongs on the Mount Rushmore of stand ups. Brilliant mind. Disturbed, sure, but honest and brilliant.

To this day, still one of the funniest Patrice shows, only thing missing was Jimmy, but everyone was getting along, Opie was in the pocket. Its episodes like this one that prove just how much this show ruled.

@Nero yeah. Jimmy doesn't get enough of the blame sometimes.

@@nero48Okay and? Good. The only thing Opie should bring to the show is information. If he gets too much freedom, gets too confident, thats when he gets bad. Jim at his worst is better than Opie 99% of the time.

Opie still cuts Patrice off from going on a good rant and explaining how to correctly be mean, and I really wanted to hear that. And he says the phone call is more important. So fuck Opie.

First time Opie was right about anything.. Patrice DID add him in just cause it’s his show. Patrice didn’t like him and it’s blatantly obvious but he had to keep peace to keep coming on the show 😂

57:08 fuck patrices and anthonys riffing here gets me everytime lmao
@hesh83673 жыл бұрын
Patrice’s stand up was decent, but his ability to riff was unparalleled. Patrice, Ant, and Jimmy were/are truly gifted when it comes to that. The only thing Patrice may have been better at than riffing was his ability to strip people down to their ugly core.

Has anyone else heard the numerous episodes where Opie desperately wants to be friends with Patrice? Its sickening
@tuco11213 жыл бұрын
Because he knew Patrice would smash him if he tried playing the tough guy role. Gregg had the same demeanor when C.K. would be in the studio - he was not able to get on his knees fast enough and not waste a drop. Patrice knew Gregg was a fragile hole (every guest knew it), so on the very rare occasion Patrice would take a mild jab at the autistic he would take it like a good boy. The minute a guy like Vos, Kelly or Otto would fire one across his bow he would immediately take offense and Greggshells would follow. He knew his place when Patrice was in studio.

Well, I can’t really blame him there. I’d sure as hell want to be Patrice’s friend. I wouldn’t be over the top about it, because Patrice would’ve sniffed that out in a second. I know one thing. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to have been on Patrice’s bad side.

This conversation about the car is hilarious....I had the throttle on the carburetor in my 78 mustang stick fully open, I was on a curvy country road, so I pressed in the clutch and turned off the key.....however since it was a manual, the steering wheel DID lock and I was right at a curve so I locked up the brakes, but still ended up going off the road into the field 😂 Amazingly no damage was done.

Just hit the clutch and it'll disconnect the transmission from the engine, then brake as normal. Glad to hear you and your car were okay.
@Iron_Thunderstorm2 жыл бұрын
@@phanatic215 The transmission was not locked. As I stated, I did press the clutch. It was not in gear, there exists a locking mechanism in the steering column of (stock) manual transmission equipped cars which will lock the wheel no matter what when the ignition isn’t in the “run” position. The reason I shut the engine off was because of the carburetor being stuck open, which was accelerating it, and with the clutch pressed, it detached the wheels from the engine, however the carb was telling the engine GO by flooding it with fuel and air, so the engine revved up super quick, which would’ve led to it blowing up. The key being turned to the off position made sense because I didn’t want the engine to blow. Believe me, hop into a manual, have the key in the off position, and try to turn the wheel. The transmission is completely unrelated to that locking function
@Iron_Thunderstorm2 жыл бұрын
@Nero Wynn Check out my reply to phantic215. Also to clarify, another issue was that the brakes locked up, so I was sliding. Being the wheel was locked, I could not steer with the curve
@Iron_Thunderstorm8 ай бұрын
@@ct-gt2dt My story does make sense, read better. It has nothing to do with being in neutral. I didn’t have a problem with it being stuck in gear, obviously. I didn’t forget that the clutch was there. The issue was that the key being in the off position causes the steering column to lock in place and I was going probably 50 into a curve. Simply being in neutral wouldn’t have solved the issue, it would have blown up my engine since the carb was stuck as if I had the throttle pressed. Take your car out without a rev limiter out of gear and put the throttle to the floor if you need help understanding.

@poopballs77953 жыл бұрын
