She's really inspiring to me. And on top of that, Ms. Davis mentions here that she's worked extensively with celebrities and other dancers in her domestic and international travels, proving further that anyone can broaden their worlds with their passions and skills if they want to. "Soul Train" remains a treasure and it would not have been possible without the vision of the late Don Cornelius. Much respect to all of you.

@@CuirPhotodotNetwow, that must have been fun, if really grueling, work! I've always admired creative people since I'm not exceptionally talented at anything in particular. It's amazing to see a studio, essentially a blank canvas, go from a group of people standing around to moving in perfect synchronization. To watch a choreographer go from an idea to actualized movement. It's just awesome.

I can sit at her feet and listen to her talk about those days for hours. Not just 16 minutes! She was at the perfect age. Young enough to rely on her instinct to be authentic but old enough to be aware of the cultural significance of what she was doing so she could carry it with her throughout her life. I hear the joy and affection she has for those times in her storytelling.

I remember these days very well in the early 70's. Patricia Davis and James Phillips were 2 of my favorite dancers on Soul Train. Patricia has to be about the same age as me, 68 years old. I was born in 1955 and I graduated from High School in 1973. I wore a big Afro, wore bell bottoms, and platform shoes from Flagg Brothers and Tom McCann. 😀 😃 😄 😁 😆 😅 😂 🤣I am glad to know that Patricia Davis is still in the land of the living. I wonder if James Phillips is still alive? Yes, back in the day, we knew the major Soul Train dancers by name.
