CBS All Access’ new show No Activity is the anti-action show. It’s set over the course of a major drug cartel bust, but rather than use that as an opportunity for lengthy action sequences and gritty drama, it focuses the unremarkable, mundane moments where nothing of interest happens-hence the name No Activity. The show is produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay and stars a cavalcade of comedic talent, including Ferrell himself, Tim Meadows, Amy Sedaris, J.K. Simmons, Bob Odenkirk, and Jason Mantzoukas.
