Patrick Duffy steps Behind The Rope. Yes, Bobby Ewing in the flesh! Patrick is here to chat about the full anthology of her career and what it was like to be part of one of the most Iconic shows of all time, Dallas. Patrick reminisces about being cast, the early days on set with co-stars such as Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Charlene Tilton and Victoria Principal - to name a few, the highs and lows of Bobby Ewing, best and worst storylines for the character and how life changed as a result of Dallas. Patrick opens up about his decision to leave the show after eight seasons, eturning after only one season off, the decision to bring Bobby back to life a la the “dream season”, the viral reaction from fans, life after Dallas and the positives and negatives of playing one character for so long. Patrick also opens up about his life long friendships with Larry Hagman and Linda Gray, the TNT “Dallas Reboot” that ended way too soon a few years ago, the future of the Dallas legacy and whether another Reboot is looming on the horizon. Of course, there was also that other mega hit Patrick was a part of, Step By Step. We talk the transition from Bobby Ewing to comedy, working with Icon Suzanne Somers, other parts he would love to play and finding love again with actress Linda Pearl. Thank you Patrick. What a fun trip down memory lane regarding one of the best and most iconic TV shows to ever exist!

I absolutely loved Dallas when I was younger. I always loved Bobby/Patrick. I used to watch it faithfully until I got to college and kept up with the Ewings through my Mom never missed an episode. I started watching in early September and we are now on Season 12. The reboot was awesome and I agree it had the potential to go several more seasons. Maybe fans can hope for one more movie to wrap up the Ewing story.

I really enjoyed this franchise!! Sorry to see the TNT reboot end. Glad to see that it's available on Tubi. Interesting that David Yontef would mention a collaboration with Suzanne Somers.... It seems like she would have sadly passed before this video was made... too bad.

When JR was killed off the reboot (due to the passing of Larry Hagman) Josh Henderson as John Ross was suppose to become the new younger version of JR, the next big star of the show, but it's now a big question whether he wants to return to play the character again, if there ever will be another Dallas reboot.

There is also something they can do, they can do a TV series that takes place (between Dallas The Early Years - 1978 Series ,with extras being discussed) a lot of stuff can be discussed 1)JR Ewing joining his dads company (Ewing oil) and eventually meeting Sue Ellen 2)How Gary met Valene 3)JR sending Goons to take Valene child Lucy to live on Southfork 4)Jock Ewing leaving dallas to go to WW2,having a affair with Margaret Hunter which she ended up pregnant and having Ray Krebbs. 5)How Digger Barnes meeting Rebecca Wentworth and having Cliff Barnes while being still angry and upset with jock 6)Rebecca running away after having a affair with Hutch Mckinney with ending with Digger taking his life and setting jock up for it. 7)Gary being tired or JR Ewing and running away from Dallas 8)Bobby and Jeanna Wades relationship and her leaving him at the alter the first time. Then end of the series will show Bobby and Pam marrying the first time (1978) and driving to Southfork. 9)JR cheating Elema Ramos family out of a deed So so much can be discussed that this series can last many seasons

@@behindthevelvetrope While having that they can do 1 or a few 2 hr movies to wrap up the current timeline. But in just my opinion they need to re-include Dallas Jr returns and War of the Ewings timeline because JR had on his gravestone the only deal he lost meaning he had to get Carter mckay and win wesstar oil. They could include that maybe JR was still running West Star until he got older around the mid 2000s and maybe got sick or something happened to him around the 2009 recession Bobby (down as his next of kin) took over JRS business and while Bobby and Sue ellen sold their shares of west star and Ewing Oil to other share holders which Barnes Global immediately bought the majority shares of WestStar and Ewing Oil. Upon learning That Ewing no longer own Ewing Oil and West Star and that Barnes now owns both they upsets JR to the point of him not speak to anyone until the meeting with John Ross in 2012.

Unless Morgan Brittany and Victoria principal were involved on the next one I’d not watch. I doubt ms. Principal will ever do another version of the show based on what she’s said since her late 80s departure. Morgan Brittany had said she’d have done the reboot had she been asked so I’m guessing she’d do yet maybe another one? Hope it happens but not as a continuation of the tnt nightmare with the Mexican drug cartel theme . Boring

This is total bull. Cynthia was horrible and ran the series into the ground. The ratings had dropped. They overplayed playing to the past, they had people poking holes in women's diaphragms, they clamed a guy bought land with oil only to come back and find JR "switched" the deed, (like how exactly does that happen) and a number of dumb angles that simply didn't work. As a huge fan of the original series, I found this embarrassing past the first season. Also, they disregarded both TV movies. Cynthia Cidre should never be allowed near Dallas again.

No offense to the great actors in the reboot, but the way Dallas ended in season 3 & canceled, was a slap in the face to the fans who took the time to watch the reboot. They could easily bring Dallas back AGAIN. Christopher allegedly blew up in his car at the gas station & John Ross revealed he has a sister no one knew about right at the end of season 3. Cliff & Rebecca could team, back up for another feud with the Ewings. #TNT #Dallas #BringItBack #PatrickDuffy #CharleneTilton #LindaGray #JustinHenderson
