Heres where i think we should lay blame for Hroneks play. Tocchet. He was deploying Hronek as a Luke Schenn playing rear guard for Hughes who takes chances. They need to use Hronek on a different pairing. Maybe with Zadorov having both d swap off and pinch offensively. You can find a cheap stay at home defenseman to play rear guard for Hughes for under 3 mil.

Are we supposed to forget what Hughes said about Pearson. He didnt think it was handled right. That's him stepping up and saying wtf is the team doing. Now we have a star player playing through an injury, and it's Oh Petey wanted to play through it, and he was in a contract year. I could be reading between the wrong lines, but it's not like the Canjcks didn't bungle Pearsons hand injury. They bungled Demko's and maybe Pettersson's knee injury. Im seeing a pattern. It could be they want to play and are pretending to be 100% or what is maybe just as likely. They're rushed back into the lineup and are reinjuring themselves. This team is moving in a positive direction , for the first time since before Mike Gillis sent it down the river with all or nothing management, and Jim Benning picked up the torch without even knowing how fire burns you! As long as ownership continues to put trust in Jim Rutherford and company, and STAYS THE HELL out of trying to manage the team themselves, then, there may be an actual COMPETITIVE future for The Canucks!
