I almost swallowed my teeth when I heard that BLASPHEMY about Purdy & Mahomes being equal!!! Mahomes is the FASTEST TO WIN 3SB MVP's & 3 Championships across all American Professional Sports; it took Mahomes Seven Seasons. It took Joe Montana 11 Seasons. It took Brady 15 Seasons. In the NBA, it took Magic (8 Seasons); Jordan (9 Seasons); Shaq (10 Szns); and, LeBron (13 Seasons). From ESPN/GET UP, drilled the data on 2MVP's + 3 Championships in First 7 Seasons, they found NO ONE ELSE has done this in the NFL. In NBA, Bird & Russell did. In MLB, Mantle & DiMaggio have done this. In NHL, only Guy LeFleur.

@@jamesbb4 lol. Mahomes couldn’t move the ball except against the prevent defense and continues to throw SB interceptions, the mvp is a joke. Purdy moved the ball with no run game, pass protection or any open receivers and went to the Superbowl his first full year as starter, something Mahomes couldn’t do.

Nick Wright might've been the only guy in the media who believed in the Chiefs all year. I don't think the Chiefs get enough credit for what they've managed to accomplish. Getting blown out in a Super Bowl, then melting down in the AFC title game the next year would be something most franchises take decades to recover from, if they ever really do at all. Instead, the Chiefs go back to back and solidify their place as an all-time dynasty.

@@davidherdman9798 Getting blown out by a Brady led team in the Super Bowl is unusual as it's only happened once. Well, the 2018 Super Bowl was won by double digits, but that one hardly counts. The fact the Chiefs have won back-to-back titles is already a huge achievement since it's been 20 years since that last happened, but you have to go back to the 70s Dolphins to find another team that won two in a row within five years of losing a Super Bowl.

As a Ravens fan, I'm one of the few members of Flock Nation who was at that AFC Championship Game that didn't feel any devastation. Why? Because if I'd rather lose to anyone, it would be the Chiefs and Mahomes. They are becoming the modern-day version of the 1990s Chicago Bulls. Why? Look at how many great QBs there are in the AFC. Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Rodgers, Herbert, Stroud, Lawrence, etc., and just like all of those great players during the 90s in the NBA most of them if not all of them won't win a ring because of Patrick Mahomes. If the Ravens and Bills were in the NFC they'd have at least made one Super Bowl. Those two, along with the Eagles, Bengals, and 49ers all would have rings if they didn't run into the Chiefs. And just like those Bulls teams they are not only revolutionizing the game on the field but off the field. And you can't get mad for losing to them. As someone who also covered the Golden State Warriors during their dynasty, I understand the feeling that Chiefs fans have right now. The feeling that it doesn't matter how ugly things get, as long as we have our cornerstones out there, we can win every single game.

I think, after seeing Mahomes & the Chiefs win their 3rd Super Bowl in 5 seasons, NOBODY should ever doubt them again. They won't always make it easy on themselves, they had quite the season of trials & tribulations in 2023, but they STILL found a way to get it done. They practically had an 'off year' and STILL won another Super Bowl. Can you imagine what might happen if the Chiefs actually get BETTER this offseason entering the 2024 campaign...? And BTW I'm a Giants fan but also can appreciate how the Chiefs have been doing it so these past 5 seasons. Mahomes & the Chiefs just keep finding new ways to get it done. And the 'haters' are just going to have to deal with it.

@@tywinders7628💯 something crazier? Mahomes easily could've had 5 rings by now. The 2018-19 los vs Brady Patriots, stupid Dee Ford offside (what's the deal with Chiefs and critical offside penalties?????) negated a game sealing INT, 20-21 SB offensive line doesn't get injured and Chiefs should've won. To top it off, 21-22 AFC Championship loss to Bengals it took Mahomes worst playoffs half played for Burrow and Co to be able to come back, and Andy not running the ball. 2022-23 was arguably the greatest season for a QB ever: MVP, SB MVP, and all time record for total yards in a season,in his first season without Tyreek. The thing is what they do is not about knowledge. Knowledge doesn't get the ratings, retweets, etc. people want trash talk , they want every play, every game, every outcome to be sine definitive statement about teams, players , coaches, gms, etc. basically over react to everything. A lot of it is building narratives either based off current results or setting up the future story. Case in point the Bills 6-6 , allen sucked, McDermott was about to be fired. But anyone looking at the schedule and how they had played knew they had a great chance of winning the east. But the negativity at 6-6 set up the narrative about the bills once again circling the wagons, every week is the playoffs blah blah blah.

You can speak to prior stats and analytics, but no one took into account the Chiefs super bowl pedigree and will to win. so many times they’ve overcome adversity and everyone seems to get amnesia. recency bias runs rampant in sports media for sure! this video captures that beautifully. very well done!

One of his greatest detractors is Skip Bayless, and most of it is strictly petty, so it was weird to see a video of him during the draft being the only analyst to be supportive of the Chiefs taking Mahomes. 6 years and these dipsticks still bad mouth Mahomes and the Chiefs. Even the guys who've been supportive of him in the past were way too quick and much too eager to disparage him this past season. Can't wait for the same next year - just because - knowing there's every chance the Chiefs could be 3-peaters! I think the worst comment was the "broken" one, with the guy saying he's just the same as he's always been. What a clown.

Skip "switched" because he feel that Mahomes might threaten his golden boy Brady throne as the GOAT. He literally was picking against Mahomes every single time in the AFC, whether its against Allen, Lamar or Burrow. Last year he also said Hurts "outplay" Mahomes is the SB as well, basically building the narrative that Mahomes was just "lucky" to win 3 rings and 3 SB MVP.

Eye test says a lot but understanding Mahomes is basically looking at a processing machine with a photographic memory and it was overlooked by most clubs. Only a few really saw what he is. Intelligence, drive and athleticism combined is a ruthless combination. What he's accomplished and how is astounding. The hot take media week to week analysis serves its purpose but he's going to be hated for things outside of his control and remembered for being a once in a life time talent.

@@JBullock54 Mahomes accomplishments so early in his career even without his Super Bowls appearances and wins is unprecedented. Without Mahomes though none of the specialness of the rest of the team would matter. Not so with Brady early in his career. His greatness was later in his career. His greatness is his resilience and separates him with all QBs in NFL history. That cannot be compared right now with Mahomes career. Given how much Mahomes has accomplished so early in his career I doubt he will play anywhere close to Brady. Also I will be shocked if Mahomes could win more than 5 SB's if that. There's no guarantee he will win even one more before he hangs it up. But being a lifelong Chiefs fan he's shocked me throughout his career. Hopefully that continues but every additional win is gravy for this Chiefs fan since I waited 50 years to witness our 2nd SB win! Who has it better than Chiefs fans? NOBODY!

Before this next season even starts, every network needs to sit their commentators down and make them watch this video. At first, I was as angry as a hornet on a hot summer day whenever I listened to them, then it got to the point that I laughed because those idiots were still insisting Mahomes and the Chiefs didn't have what it takes to make another SB run. For so called 'experts', they didn't just step in it when the Chiefs took the trophy, they embarrassed themselves to such a high degree, it's downright pathetic. No one knows what Mahomes is thinking/feeling in a given moment, but it's clear that when things aren't going quite right, he becomes laser focused, rallies the troops and together, they get the job done. That's not just the hallmark of a great quarterback, it's the hallmark of a great leader. Mahomes is far from done making his mark on the NFL. To paraphrase Mitch Holthus - you can hate the Chiefs, you can disrespect the Chiefs, but one way or the other, you're going to have to deal with the Chiefs. So cue the damn Imperial March already, put on the big boy pants and understand the Chiefs are going to continue to be a force to be reckoned with. Don't believe me - just keep pissing Mahomes off and find out. This was excellent, thank you so much for this, two big thumbs up from this lifelong Chiefs girl!
