I miss him, he was such a beautiful talent. All his movements were of a dancer´s, his walking, etc. had such fluidity. I remember when I was a teen & watched The Outsiders, he played the boys big bro & there´s this scene where they all go outside & he goes around the car or something, and his body just effortlessly glides around it & lands gracefully. He´s truly missed. aloha...

They did have a remake, it wasn't like the first movie mainly, because they tried to make it more like Musical. Also, the Actors who played Johnny and Baby didn't have that chemistry that Swayze and Grey But, I am old school. It is NOT Dirty Dancing unless Patrick and Jennifer are the main actors..

Always remembered, never forgotten 🥺💔 I fell in love with Patrick Swayze when I was a kid, and I remember saying: “Wow. He’s the most divine being I had ever seen in my short life.” Thank you to my friend’s mom who made me watch Dirty Dancing when I was little. Truly grateful.

He's the total package, you could sing, dance, fight, comedy, drama, everything. He had it in him to win Oscars, Grammys, everything. He put his whole being in everything. Patsy his mom wanted Buddy (Patrick) to excel and pushed him hard and wouldn't settle for less, and it paid off. He would be 70 this year, and he died much too soon. We were cheated of a fine man with a huge heart that was a southern gentleman.

The line was about Baby being put in a corner by her Father. Wanting her to be the perfect student in college and being Dr or lawyer. Baby didn't want what her Father wanted. He put baby in a corner. That line was a critical line for babies growth

When he references the “eastern” adage & it being relative to the ‘meaning’ of that dialogue line, it relates to the spiritual aspect of “serving” the honor of another person...in the case of “baby” - it was honoring her as a mature young woman, her uniqueness, her authenticity & her talent as a dancer (especially after her fathers treatment of her regarding the Penny situation & all his speculations/judgments, etc.)...If U think about how he shows up to her table at the end & announces himself the way he does & makes that statement, there’s no denying his confidence & steadfastness about his “serving” her honor!!

in theatre class we’re doing lines from the outsiders and there’s one line that i have that i absolutely hate. i have to say “how come you’re blushing?” and every time i say it i cringe. recently she told me about this interview with patrick swayze and how he had to understand his line so he knew the meaning of it, beyond what he thought it meant

ummmm it's "no one puts baby in A corner" not THE corner. As for Swayze, well I've always liked the guy, but I don't understand why he didn't get this line. Isn't it really obvious what it means? "No one puts baby in a corner" or in other words no one puts baby in a binder.
