@BetterMe9814 жыл бұрын
@@MsSmurfySandy Not completely accurate. Yes, she will never stop loving her first husband. Ever. But she didn't marry again JUST to have a partner in life. Having a partner is work, which, after 34 years of marriage, she knew very well. She's an independent person. She's super busy. She chose to share her life with her new partner because she loves him. Period.
@ellieaquitaine63964 жыл бұрын
@@Kiss_lynda Which family and friends said that? I think you may be mistaken. No-one liked Lisa. She was horrid to Patrick throughout their marriage. When he became so dreadfully ill towards the end, his younger brother Donnie stepped in to care for him. He took a break and when he returned, Patrick was lying in his own waste. Donnie wanted to take Patrick home to care for him properly but Lisa fought him. This video gives an account of the sad life he had with a clearly mentally ill woman. Just heartbreaking. 🥰. Well I have a judgment regarding your story: I'm THRILLED for your father, you & all involved! Obviously, you all realize, as Lisa came to realize, that it's a totally incomparable, separate & unique bank account. God is so so good! Continued blessings to all! Maybe the word you meant is "criticize". As in: No one should CRITICIZE how one grieves or decisions they make on how they move on with their lives. With that, I totally agree!🥰 I admire your father. Not everyone has the abundance of love& courage to accept, let alone fully embrace & encourage ALL of the blessings God gives one. I just now had a thought that just popped in my noggin: That must be why God gives your father SO much in this one lifetime, he knows & trusts your father's husbandry over all he loans him while on this Earth. "Husbandry" as, not only in the matrimonial sense, but ALSO in the over-all gardening, cultivating, nurturing, fostering sense. God always gets it right. ALWAYS!

If I could try to explain that when someone you adore dies, you will have a strange reaction to their things. You might not be able to address those things for years and on the other hand, you might be so distraught that you get rid of the “things” because you’d rather have the person. It’s hard to wrap your head around it.

@JJDigitalartStudio3 жыл бұрын
@@Citrusfruits50 Be assured God has a plan for you. Sometimes while we are waiting to hear the thunder of the Lord He is speaking to us in a still small voice. Being married means to forget self and give all the love you have to your spouse and children. It means giving up a life free of concern for others except those you choose to be concerned about. We married early in life. I do not feel as if I missed anything. I had 2 daughters and had 3 granddaughters and now have a great granddaughter. We celebrated our 50th anniversary last November. Paul never married either. He did not want a wife and kids keeping him from preaching the Word everywhere. Imagine a family who has no breadwinner and spends most of his time in prison. If you are to have a soul mate God will get you to that person. God's peace.

So amazing when people continue to live their life in the present and to find someone who will be there for you and with you. The grief is real, but so is living your life, finding joy, hope, and peace for you...what makes you happy. Life after loss is on hold, frozen at that time in your life. Whether you chose to seek companionship again is your choice. To project that one doesn’t need another person to share their coming years together and they don’t need anyone else comes across as bitter. I am very happy two beautiful, older people found each other to bring love and joy to their senior years. God Bless them.

I truly do know how you feel. I lost the love of my life and father to my 2 sons when he passed suddenly 23 years ago. Like you, there's was no way to tell anyone the depth of your emptiness, loss and grief. I swore on my life that no one could ever take his place and I would never marry again. Four years later, out of nowhere, God had other plans. I was resistant and felt guilty at the thought of ever loving someone else, but it happened.The thing is, that it's not about someone 'taking someone else's place' and it's not the same kind of love. That can never happen. What it means is, that it IS possible to find happiness and be able to share your life again. My second husband knew, that if my first husband hadn't passed, that we'd still be married. He knew the depth of love that I had for him and always would. He told me that from what I and others had said about him, that they could have been great friends! Sadly, I lost my second husband 15 months ago, after a long illness with cancer, but we had 12 good years together. Just don't close your heart and mind. Your husband wouldn't want you to be unhappy and sad the rest of your life and God wants our happiness too!

Jennifer Salas... Hi... I think if someone reaches a time to bring another into their life, the time of comparing will have passed. Some people never reach that point and some do. You should do whatever feels right for yourself.

I’ve been married 37 years to my junior high sweetheart. I can’t ever imagine life without him. He’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease , and it just breaks my heart to see him go through all of the changes. We’re both scared 😞

Love and prayers for y'all. Just take one day at a time fill it with God's love for you both. It happened to me and my man. High school sweethearts, just reunited after 40 years. With only 6 months of life left for him. We loved each other and took each day happily. He's in peace now without pain. I love my hero still each and every day.⚘

My son and Patrick looked so much a like when Patrick started in "Dirty Dancing". John my son was in his 20's at that time. Patrick come to mean a lot to me. Such a talented man. Patrick's movies are some of favorites. I'm sure very fan of Patrick were devastated to hear the news. It totally stunned me to hear that failtal news of his illness. 34 years is a long time to be married to and loved one man. I lost my husband to brain cancer three years ago. We were married 35 just before my husband died. I'm happy for Lisa that she was able to find love again. I I believe that wasn't a dream of Patricia, it was his spirit, his soul coming to her in her sleep. Patrick was a fine, decent, talented man who loved his life, his wife and his family. Rest in piece Patrick and blessing to Lisa. ❤️🙏

It's good she found healing and love again. Wish them all the best and a long, happy ,blessed marriage. Patrick was a handsome man, a beautiful dancer. He was taken way too soon. Still hard to wrap my mind around his passing. He always seemed eternal in some way and I think his legacy and love for her he left is proof of that. To love her so fully he wanted her to find love again is special and beautiful.
