Biddu Appaiah (born 8 February 1945) is a British-Indian singer-songwriter, composer, and music producer . His international breakthrough came in 1974 with "Kung Fu Fighting" performed by Carl Douglas. Biddu asked Douglas to sing the vocal on the song "I Want to Give You My Everything." Biddu needed another song for the B-side to the single, so Biddu came up with a melody for some lyrics Carl had written about the then trendy martial arts craze that was sweeping the United States in the 70's. The resultant song "Kung Fu Fighting" was recorded in a mere ten minutes and was released as the A-side to the single. He also launched the careers of other British disco stars such as Tina Charles,helping her sell 36 million records within a few years,and Jimmy James.scored soundtracks for several British films such as The Stud (1978) and produced a hit song for the French singer Claude François.

Man, I couldn't have been no more than six or seven years old when I first heard this song. Hearing it today just as well as yesterday or yesterday's, and still sounds good. It brings like so many memories. Unfortunately, music of this style, and heart and soul is not being created in today's time. I believe Bruno Mars is a lot closer to bring it back that form and that style. And I'm old school and his music just appears to me in the old school way.

I remember going to drive inn's and watching a Bruce Lee on the big screen, kids jumping from the hood of the cars kicking and throwing punches 👊 time has went by so fast but every time I hear this music I can't help to smile!!
