Growing up as an 80's baby Patrick was the man. As a man seeing him be able to act, dance, sing. He was a man's man but could play literally any role and everyone loved him. Truly a lovely man.

Hang on, nearly 40 years?! This song was on Dirty Dancing, which came out in 87, the year I was born. That was NOT nearly 40 years ago. People keep insisting it's right but it doesn't sound right to me, it's been about 25 years at most 😅 anyway, I'm still only 36 in this alternate reality so got a little way to go til 40 but it still doesn't sound right. It's gone WAY too quickly.

He was a professional dancer,actor,singer,and songwriter that kept his humility. He accomplished more in his short lifetime than most people ever hope to accomplish.

@@zoomin.zoomout8160 Also, he didn't write this song for the soundtrack. When the soundtrack came out & everyone loved it, some guy tried to say HE wrote the song to get money for it. The joke was on the greedy guy because Patrick wrote the song a few years before he even did the movie & was able to prove it. I guess nobody puts Patrick in the corner either. LOL! At the point during which he sang this song .. well, it was just so shocking because for years he had been the super hot guy from outsiders the older brother who everybody loved and respected !!! and then suddenly he was also singing!! And he was good ! Yet still himself !!! There was no talk about it before ; it was just here’s this amazing movie where half of America is going to fall in love with him again and btw ‘ oh yeah he is singing .’ Amazing talent !

Patrick swayze was my favorite actor he made a lot of great movies I absolutely love. Road house and point break and black dog also the tv show he was doing before he passed the beast were my favorites. You could tell on the beast he was not feeling good but he worked through it and gave us one last great performance.I loved the show and am glad they didn't continue by tying to recast him after he passed because patrick was irreplaceable. The world lost a true talent when he passed. RIP patrick Swayze You are Missed everyday. Patrick swayze was also one hell is a singer he could do anything.

His being the bad boy that the girls all wanted was the only thing that kept the guy from being one of everyone's favorites. If Hollywood had shown him for what he was really about in life he might have lost a few females (doubtful but possibly) but he would've picked up so many more male fans. 90% of men are haters though and I don't see that changing for the better anytime in the near future. Otherwise we'd all been fans of his. If the men who spoke badly about him would have had a peak into his legitimate character the hate would have waned and he would have had the respect of a huge majority of the male consumers of the Big Screen too.
