110% agree on being sick of exclusive figures being locked behind these multipacks, if you're going to do a multipack, at least have them be a combiner team or all-new figures. Even IF you happened to miss out on Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, AND Jazz, you're still paying $110 for four Deluxes, which isn't a "deal" unless you get the pack on sale. Wheeljack was everywhere and had a reissue on top of that, so I doubt many people missed him. I'd even say the repacked Wheeljack is arguably worse than the original release; I do think the decos on the other figures are better but even as a fan of the G1 cartoon look, Jackie looks way too plain in all white, plus the new coloring makes the flaws in his car mode far more obvious.

Everyone upset about this set i get. What they need to realize is some of us didn’t see ANY of them other than Wheeljack. I was more than happy to buy the set.

LOL Same. The distribution for everything else that were reissued where I live was shit so only Earthrise Wheeljack was the one I owned prior to the box set. For me this box set is a win.

If it wasn't for the fact that the other guys were out, this would have been a great set to pick up, but as usual Hasbro wants to make more money. Hound looks great though, great reviews always😊

I love toyhax, got Jazz's sticker set a couple of months ago. They do a hell of a job. Also love how they did the new Hound. The original had the T-Rex arms that didn't reach past his chest.

Don't forget the upcoming Soundwave that comes with Ravage and Rumble again that we have to buy just to FINALLY get a Buzzsaw for our collection. That set made me beyond furious. 🤬

Well for me was Hound and Sunstreaker I needed from the set as Sunstreaker I never saw locally. The others, well I sm tempted by toyhax for sure now.

I generally appreciate the repaint packs. It allows me to pick up figures that I was able to get my hands on before. The other ones that I do have I can just sell them off to buy more figures.

I also mainly wanted the set for Hound, but bought the toyhax stickers for their original decos (not the new characters you mentioned). Looking forward to making them look alot better, especially covering up the powder blue windows.

I own this set & the slight green tinge in the leg area throws it off as being perfect for me. I feel it should be grey like the animation model. Love the Sunstreaker from this set too. The yellow blends better than the original release.

I bought Dietrus. I do love your plans for the other four and love to see them. My hands are not steady to put stickers on. I didn't want to buy this set just for Hound and I have past Hounds. Its a shame that Hasbro put them together like this cause I would have loved to get this Hound but I'm glad some folks who missed out on Sunstreaker and others can get them all. I had to go out of my way to get Sunstreaker who was a MUST.

Thank you Toyhax! I was on the same boat, ended up repurchasing Jazz, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker and Wheeljack just to get Earthrise Hound. Now I can also have 4 way different characters. Fracktor converted from a "cracked window" Jazz is a very nice touch. 😁

I have to double check but I’m fairly certain that the flap behind Hound’s head can go back a little bit to free up more of Hound’s head articulation.

It will be very hard to not-buy the 5-pack now, I love the condor decal set. But, Hound here is great, he looks the part, and it's upsetting used him to sell 4 more figures most people don't need. I will have to stick with my Siege Hound for now, until Hound is repacked alone someday. Great review, and I truly CANNOT WAIT for you to do the Condor decal set.

Yea I bought this set too. I wasn't going to but I wanted hound and I do like you don't have to worry about clear plastic cracking like you had to with the originals. I did order an upgrade kit for hound so he will have seats at least.

its squeezeplay thats gonna be in that up coming set but i dont blame you confusing him with Fangry cause they did the same with HIM too ! my only bet is that down the road they'll release them in a future line they way they did with that dirge and ramjet twopack no one could find, probably when they produce a horribul to complete the trio.

Thankfully the only figure I had that was reissued in the box set was Wheeljack and the Wheeljack in the box set is much better cause it's the animation colors. Same reason why I only bought MP Wheeljack when the MP+ version came out, I like the animation colors better. But I digress, I'm just happy 4/5 figures from the set I don't own so I don't really have any doubles so it's totally worth it for me to buy. Thinking of selling the Earthrise Wheeljack cause I don't really need a second one lol.

I've not been at this long so I don't have a lot and I get the feeling they're aiming this sort of thing at people like me who don't have too many already and have yet to learn perhaps although incidentally it doesn't take long to see how this works. Looking at for instance how they gradually released the Stunticons getting everyone excited for Menasor but the individuals had slightly off small details most won't notice at a glance. Then they release the whole set at a slightly inflated price with the more proper details changed and all of a sudden the hardcore collectors who were excitedly getting them as they came out individually end up needing to have two sets of Stunticons for some odd reason which just looks crazy to everyone else who wouldn't even care to notice the difference and Hasbro still end up looking like good guys dealing with those 'unreasonable nitpicky G1ers' putting them 'fans first' and such... Sneaky bastards.

Ehhh. Despite flaws, this set is still a must get...if I can. • Not a fan of the Trailbreaker repaint (following MP56 in being gray instead of black like literally *EVERY TRAILBREAKER TOY BEFORE MP56*) was a dumb idea; if it wasn't for the set being the only way to get the would-be SS86-18 Hound, I'd just say screw it and get Generations Selects DK3 Breaker (Diaclone blue). 🤷🏽‍♂️ • Jazz is am extremely hard sell considering that both the Ballsmart - I mean Walmart - exclusive Toxitron Collection G2 Jazz should still be out there, AND there's supposed to be a straight up reissue of SS86-1 Jazz (and SS86-6 Grimlock) later this year... • Also not a fan of the Wheeljack repaint; just like MP20 to MP20+, this looks worse than both Earthrise/Kingdom AND Netflix WFC-T. • SUNSTREAKER, however, alongside Hound, makes it worthwhile...FOR ME. I never saw Sunstreaker in stores at all.

I like the 5 pack because I love the retooling of the clear plastics with solid plastic for the windows , and I was never able to sunstreaker or trailbreaker. Plus I love that sunstreaker has the correct color of yellow and he is all one shade of the same color. So sorry brother but I have disagree with you on the value of the five pack .

@@PatriotPrimeReviews I got new kits for hound and wheeljack and sunstreaker for this new pack and the kits rock. The hound kit adds seats steering wheel, and leg and arm fillers , and the kit for sunstreaker is just flat out awesome, makes it totally g1 right down the proper shade of yellow

Probably so, once they've sold the 5pks off using him as the selling point for that set... it's a virtual guarantee, based on the Hasbro formula of: "Release a less preferred version, or two, of the character, and THEN after we've bled them a bit more, we give them the version that they REALLY wanted to begin with..." and the alternative option of: "Okay, we've given them 2, or 3, versions of a character they wanted, but without a proper accessory piece, (looking at YOU, Soundwave minus Buzzsaw ×3!), so THEN we release the same thing again, WITH the previously missing piece, in addition to the same previously included accessory characters, but we bump it up to a leader class price point and hit their wallets again...!" They never get tired of screwing us over like that... and then crap like with Blaster/Twincast, where they make us buy a repaint for a second Autobot Cassette repaint, and THEN release an under produced version of Blaster with the version of Eject that we SHOULD have gotten instead of the stupid translucent versions of the mold... so we have a difficult time getting the figures that we wanted to begin with... Frustrating as HELL, man!!! 😠😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Great review. I bought the dutritus fig to make a custom hound, just is not worth buying that set as you said for one fig.

The Cliffjumper that is in the four pack isnt animated, he TF Prime Cliffjumper done in G1 style. Like Bulkhead and Arcee. Which don't make since since there sre all ready G1 Arcee and Cliffjumper. Bulkhead I can understand doing, but Acree and Cliffjumper wasn't nessary for G1 style.

I know im in the minority here but I love this pack becuase I got 5 new figures for $110 becuase I started collecting during legacy so this set if definity nice for new collectors or people who couldn't get the previous releases of those characters but I get were veteran collectors are coming from

I wasn't actually going to bother with this set, for various reasons, but with those Toyhax upgrades for the duplicates, I think I may try to get a set, and add to the character pool, lol... Those things are awesome looking... oh, and Hound is cool too, although I still kind of prefer the G3 version that came with Ravage several years ago... of course, that said, I have an extra Ravage cassette that I can include with the modern Hound here, so that's easy enough... too bad we didn't get a single release with a cage accessory to capture Ravage...🤔😮‍💨😑 SO MANY MISSED OPPORTUNITIES, HASBRO!!! 🤬🤬🤬
