If you watch the play, clearly NE understood a spike is a win. The defense has to force a FG, a TD is the only loss in that situation. A spike forces 4th down, they fg to tie for OT. Big Ben showed spike, and only 1 receiver moved on the snap. All the other guys on offense just stood around. Defense swarmed to the one guy they had to defend and played defense to the last second. If Ben is correct, I think the coach just added to the confusion. When you have seconds and the clock is ticking you should probably just leave it to the QB.

In the rule book .. The nfl believes that if the ball moves around in your hand then its not a catch.. In all actuality everyone knows it was a touchdown and the steelers should have won, but by the letter of the law(nfl rule book) the ball moved so its not a catch..crazy. And thats not even the reason my steelers lost that game..a field goal couldve taken it to overtime but the steelers called a bad play which resulted in the other team intercepting the ball..
