61 years ago today on March 5th, 1963 we lost one of country music's greatest !!

Such a beautiful voice. Elevates even mediocre songs.

I wasn't even alive when she passed, but I almost cried when it showed the newspaper clipping of her shoes in the crash. To me there will only be two Female Icons in music... in rock there is Pearl (Janice Joplin), and in Country... The one and only PATSY! Sucks I will never see either one, but if I had to choose... I choose PATSY!

Love Patsy Cline so much. Even tho I'm only 18, I grew up with music from the 40s 50s and 60s because I lived with my nan. Patsy inspired me to start singing.

She in my opinion is the queen of country music her emotional packed style of country blues is one of a kind. Any song this great lady sang became her song, for instance Hank Williams hit your cheating heart sung by miss clone in my opinion became hers I no longer liked the original.
@MeadeSkeltonMusic6 жыл бұрын
Scott Ratliff no one can top Hank. Not even Patsy Whine.

Well sir I beg to differ but to each his own
@MeadeSkeltonMusic6 жыл бұрын
Scott Ratliff normally she is okay, but her version of your cheating heart is really slow and drags, and she over emotes. Leave Hank's songs to Hank. I normally dont like female vocals anyway. Patsy is okay and anita bryant.

This song makes me sad because Patsy's shoes should have stayed new for much longer but sadly she passed them much too fast, i miss her and she will forever inspire me. 😢

I love Patsy and her music is a comfort when I break up with a lassie, but you've permanently made me hear this song in a new light by showing that newspaper picture of her shoes after the crash...

I've been listening to Patsy since the 50's. I hate seeing these pictures. This is not the way I want to remember Patsy. These pictures should show her singing, performing, with her friends.
