This is a great video. I like the fabrics and the patterns. I like that tuxedo pattern and the fabric you are going to use for it.

I wore a tuxedo to my prom (2002). Instead of a shirt,the vest was like a halter top. I felt quite chic especially compared to all of the giant ball gowns.

I totally guessed right on which fabric and pattern styles you each would go for! You’re both going to look so fab! I will be in much more casual fare. I have been working on long sleeved tops to fill in my winter wardrobe, so I will wear one of those. I also will be working on an oversized flannel shirt in lovely pastel colors, but I’m not sure if that will be finished in time. Either way, the online sewing community Keisel me motivated to keep sewing even when I’m in a life phase like now, when spare time is in very short supply. Sewing (and watching my KZfaq sewing friends) is my therapy and relaxation!

That was so fun. You ladies are going to look amazing. The royal blue is to die for and the sequins, well, what women doesn’t love sequins. I found in sewing sequins, depending on the type of sequins, you can sew through them but others that are harder, you have to remove them from the seam allowance. Good luck

Ooohhh....gorgeous, girls! Have just bought some gorgeous plisse fabric myself but haven't sewn with it before. Just going to check out your plisse skirt video for any top tips!

Crepe shrinks, I would suggest you have the cleaners steam press before you start

You two are going to look amazing! Great choices! I moved from the UK to New Zealand 8 years ago and so our Christmases are now in the middle of summer. It is difficult to come up with festive outfits that you won’t melt in. I am amazed by how quickly you get things sewn up, it would take me all year to sew those!

technically, viscose is a 'natural' fiber... it's more natural than polyester in any case, so i think you can go ahead and say you chose all natural fiber fabrics :)
