Now she’s older them knees ain’t having all that extreme creaking and carrying on under the shroud of moving under the spirit! lol Last time I saw her sprawled out on the floor while Luther Vandross boldly, nonchalantly stepped over and straddled her out stretched body while crooning “Only for one night” That performance was not giving any sort of visible spiritual vibes that I could see nor was supposed to see or get. So some people can turn it on just like they can turn it off at their free will at anytime! Most all these entertainers are just that and only that……….entertainers doing what they do entertain in what ever style or form the situation calls for.

That is only partially correct. There is a Criteria. 1 Repentance (not the same as confession). 2 Water baptism in Jesus Name 3 And only then when sin has been remitted based upon 1 & 2; Only then will the Holy Spirit come to dwell in that persons spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, as the Spirit of God gives utterance; Acts 2: 38 -42 is the only biblical criteria for salvation. Sadly there are many wonderful people who believe they are saved. But If they have neglected this fundamental Criteria of salvation, they will not make the rapture of the Church because that Adamic sin has not been remitted from their lives ; Which prevents the Holy Spirit from dwelling in their spirit. Again, This only occurs after sorrowful repentance and when Water Baptism is performed in the name of Jesus (not titles) Acts 4:12. This Also why there is zero evidence of Holy Ghost power in today’s assemblies; Only emotions from being ENTERTAINED Sad but true.

I understand what the sister means. You don’t “catch” Holy Ghost, God gives Him to the repentant one. All the other stuff comes after. You can’t work for Holy Spirit He is imparted into the one who is truly repent immediately after repentance and receiving Jesus as lord and saviour . Receiving Holy Spirit (God’s spirit )is immediately imparted upon repentance and receiving Christ as your saviour.!

She was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT when she came to Buffalo, 40 minute concert, most of her background singers sung, most not f the songs. Patti started a few lines, then the background singers. Though they were good, we came to see Patti. Disappointed 🤬

Not special to her act. It’s what she does. Saw her at least 30 years ago and she was doing it back then. Only difference was back then she was chewing on a chicken bone. And who wouldn’t need off the floor. She is 79. In her younger years whenever she laid down on the floor she had the muscle tone toget up on her own.

You're partially right when one recieves salvation yes the person also receives the Holy Spirit When you accept the lord Jesus Christ into your life God gives you the Holy Spirit Ephesians 1:13 But you also need the infilling/indwelling of the Holy Spirit. John 14:16

So that’s an expression that is used, especially in the churches down South in the US. No one has a monopoly on God. He’s Omniscient, all knowing. He knew exactly what they were saying and mean, even if you didn’t. Perfect example of: More wise yet wicked generation. 2 Timothy 3:5&7. Instead of rejoicing that someone is talking about the Holy Spirit, you’re focusing on a technicality on how someone is trying to express themselves as it relates to the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost.
