Paul Cook started his career as a glass etcher in London and now resides in Norfolk where he makes split cane fishing rods, landing nets, float boxes and traditional fishing floats. This film was shot in conjunction with the Fallons Angler Directory fallonsangler.net/directory/

What a lovely little film. There's something very therapeutic about watching a true artisan at work.

Having bought a few of Pauls floats back in the 80's, it is marvellous to see a video of him in person. What workmanship, this conjures up thoughts of fishing trips to come, with proper floats, center pins and handmade rods...wonderful

Have got a couple of glassfibre rods that were rebuilt by Paul Cook, a Hardy 10' Swimfeeder and a 10' carp rod on the same blank used by Abu for their 223,not split cane but still nicely finished and a pleasure to use, and they mean a lot to me as they were given to me by my late friend Martin Clare.
