Why do people fall for the clippers trap every year? They almost always have good regular seasons but come playoff time their stars either underperform and/or sit in street clothes. Having James harden on THAT team who is the definition of not showing up when it matters just added to that problem, instead of mitigating it.

KD only won because it’s the warriors and it’s so obvious he can’t do anything without a super team in their prime. Curry gets a pass this season cause he actually balled out his team let him down he never choked. Lebron kind of gets a pass but at the same time he refuses to defer to other players and switches teams constantly. But the players I named are exactly what I mean by players not adapting or changing their game in the long run. Westbrook offense has never improved since his mvp season and he still till this day can’t consistently drain wide open shots it’s so simple why can’t he make wide open shots even Dwight Howard would make these shots. Yet Russ throughout all these years can’t develop a consistent shot that’s just straight up neglect and not working on his game. PG and Harden are straight up chokers they are not winning players prime or old. They will have good games here and there but when it’s time to depend on them they are not dependable no matter if they are 1st 2nd or 3rd option. Harden pretty much sabotaged Russ position on that team btw. Beal and Dame are just players that look good on trash teams they not winning players they all in it for the money and stats. They no different from pg and harden they just was never in the limelight to get exposed

It's a double edged sword. You need to play to keep your skills sharp and your cardio on point, but can risk further injury. Too much load management and your body can't handle the stress of the NBA pace. They were doing alright limiting his minutes and reintegrating him slowly
