We never understand when we're young just how good we have it. I always had plenty of chores to do. And I always felt the goodness of sore muscles and accomplishment. It felt odd or wrong not to be contributing to our family unite. Our parents didn't need to praise us or to beg us to do our chores our reward was eating fresh garden vegetables and orchard fruit that we helped to grow. Feeling the warmth and smelling the fragrance of a fire in our fire place. I cut and split wood and carried and stacked it a multitude of other things. My muscles grew stronger and so did my self respect. And today I don't ask or want or need anything that God doesn't want me to have.
