Paul Hindemith (1895-1962), Kammermusik No.7, Op.46 No.2.
Berliner Philharmoniker
Claudio Abbado conductor
Wayne Marshall organ
Movements:
I. Nicht zu schnell 00:03
II. Sehr langsam und ganz ruhig 03:14
III. quaver = 184 10:13
The last of a series, Kammermusik No.7, is the grandest and most festive of all concertos, it is also the only one in the conventional three movements: and Hindemith makes a good use of all the polyphonic possibilities offered by he nature of the solo instrument.
