Paul is one of the most eloquent and best known reconteurs in the English speaking Caribbean with his marvelous humor , wit, poetry and storytelling. The characters he has created such as Tanti at de Oval, Vibert, Timultaneous, Sugar George, Tingalae, Bobots, Dr. Ah-Ah and many others have become an indelible part of the Caribbean literary landscape.

Telling a child to hush their bloody mouth, leaving a baby/ small child in distress, until it changes colour , beating and rocking the baby violently and introducing violence is tantamount to psychological, emotional and physical abuse. Any parent doing this are unfit and should not be allowed to keep their children . This type of comedy is unlawful in many countries, as it encourages and applaud child abuse. Paul Douglas Keen would be hauled before the court in many countries. It worries me to think that normal Trinidadians can tolerate this and the country's lawmaker and protector of its most vulnerable citizens can allow this.
