Went to a house show in Burlington, Vermont I believe in 2004 with my brother. Paul London was one of the only wrestlers who came outside after the show to talk to fans. He signed our tickets and chatted for a while. Really awesome guy! And if you are reading this by some chance, thank you for that Paul. Almost 20 years later and my brother and I still talk about it.

They hate it when you get yourself over, they want to be the ones responsible for that so if you're not getting a push it's hard to gain any momentum because if you try, it will pop, fans will love it...but sadly they'll take you off TV and put you down the card...terrible. I 100000% agree with Paul and support him for his decision, it became a very memorable and enjoyable rumble thanks to him

RVD has spoken about it before too. He mentioned a spot where Jericho was politicking in regards to a match between the two where there would be interference during an attempted superplex and both guys would be hit with a chair, only for Jericho to land on RVD and get the pin. Despite not making any sense for the spot, Jericho was insisting on being the one about to deliver the superplex, which we can assume was because he didn’t want to look like the guy who was about to lose the match before the interference. Just ridiculous.

I always said that London really made the highflying so interesting again and so fun it was bringing the spark back to it. It was a masterful, and he was actually one of my favorites to watch. They did him dirty I thought, and really should’ve pushed him absolutely harder to be Intercontinental contender at least because he would’ve put asses and seats with the work he did

Honestly I can’t get over how silly the politics are in pro wrestling. It sounds so incredibly petty with the weird unwritten rules and such. We’re all adults here man, why not act like adults lol.

Couldn't agree more with the "Kofi Rumble spots." They were all so awful and hacky so I got a little chuckle out the one he botched this year which might put that shit to rest.

Nothing noteworthy happens in a rumble until the winner is declared. So getting a highlight worthy spot should be welcomed

WWE definitely had that old school mentality. I remember listening to Dutch Mantell talk about how you'd get into trouble for being too good, because you take away from the big name stars who'd have to keep making money. I guess once you do a spot that's too good, it took away from the actual spot fans was supposed remember? Well, they should step up their game.
