Thanks very much Stevie for this great comment and I'm glad that you enjoyed the video. Yes this box is whopper but scary (for me) not the biggest. It does take a fair bit of time to put these videos together but Im happy that it hasn't gone unnoticed that Im doing something that no other channel (as far as I know) don't do. It's a really great album and the remastering of the album and singles and b sides from the sessions are really stunning as you say. Thanks for your video suggestion - I have got this sort of thing on my radar and it's really just a question of time before I get to it. I do have a list of videos waiting to be made but this sort of solo compilation by year will happen. thanks very much.

There's a Venus and Mars on ebay at the moment brand new its £216 and seller is in Australia so £50 on top of that for shipping. That is way too much for that set. If you haven't seen my video of what's in the box maybe check it out to see if there's enough in there to warrant paying so much. Maybe have a look on Discogs and see if there's any decent deals. I think maybe it was because this was back in the day of the stand alone singles and he did have a lot of material that was left off the album. It was also interesting to learn in the McCartney Legacy that the Another Day single was released on the first day of the court case Paul v the others. Thanks as always for a great comment

Hi Bob Sorry to read this. Did you get a response from the dealer. Was the box sealed? If so, I guess trying to download the hi res audio will tell you for sure if it's a fake if it was a sealed box because if its was sealed and real the downloads should work ok, if sealed and they dont then its definitely a fake. Of course if it wasnt sealed and this is a second hand copy then there's a good chance that the download has been used by the original buyer. It is a minefield and easy to get duped and $100 would be around the right price for a used real one. I guess it's up to you whether you try and get a real one or stick with what you have its always a competitions between wants v means eh. If you decide to return it , I hope you get a full refund. If you get no response from the dealer go directly to ebay and they should refund you. Best of luck mate

Well I guess the boxes have to have something that is exclusive to them or nobody would them but youre certainly right about the internet prices. The key to this is getting them when they come out. In most cases this is when they are at their best price. Cheers

It is Phillip. Always in upper case even on the spine of the record. But no dots in between so its not an acronym or standing for anything just the font that they chose. So just RAM as in a male sheep 🐏

@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel Based on the updated book :McCartney: Music is Ideas, by Luca Perasi it is suggested that there are some links, some a bit tenuous but still worth consideration. 1. Paul used to go by the name of Paul Ramon in his early days as part of The Silver Beetles 2. When Paul was a kid using this stage name the other kids would call him Ram One instead of Ramone. 3. The producer was the renowned Phil Ramone So with these associations and connected with actual names it sort of makes sense to put the title in capital letters. RAM. And of course the album does have that charming light on life on the farm. Great video again Tone. It was great to revisit this awesome set.

In the Video about the album included in this box set (it's called Ramming) Paul is very clear about why the title was chosen. He says he liked the name because a Ram is a very strong male animal and he liked the word Ramming - meaning pushing forward strongly which is what he felt he needed to do in the light of the break up. Surely Capital letters were used because visually it is more striking and it fits with that strong male animal. It really is an amazing box set. My favourite by far. Was it you Tone who suggested a deluxe archive edition of NEW? I thought that was a great idea. After all everything becomes archival in the end so why restrict it. I doubt very much we are going to see another deluxe box set but I hope earnestly to be wrong. Back to the Egg I have noticed has garnered greater appreciation over recent years so I am, surprised this album has not received the treatment, I for one, believes it deserves. @@triplejazzmusicisall1883 Absolutely no need to apologise for anything here - it's a reasonable assumption that Luca has made. Another factor to throw into the mix is that Paul's commentary on the video that I referred to was done in 2012 specifically for this box set and Paul has been known to revise history over the years (or forget things that he's previously said), so its more than possible that he may have said something like the Paul Ramon thing for example, in the past and Luca has picked it up from there. by the way, Im hoping to have Luca on the channel for an interview about his book soon. he contacted me recently and said he'd like to come on and talk about the book, so Im just trying to read as much of the book as I can before doing the interview. I agree that the capital letters is more striking especially because it's a 3-letter word - it just seems to work better that way. Ram is not my favourite of these boxes but it's definitely one of them - mainly because I love the album so much. I dont think it was me who suggested a box for the NEW (also in capitals lol) album because from what I understand the Archive project is a joint venture between the music and Linda's photos, so I'm not expecting there to be any of these Archives for any albums made after Linda's death. Too my calculations that means that to complete the series they need to do London Town, Back to the Egg, Off the Ground, Press to Play, Broad Street and possibly Tripping the live fantastic & Paul is Live (live albums because they did one for Wings Over America and Wings Over Europe). Ive no idea why LT and BTtE have been delayed so long as from what I understood both albums have already been remastered back in 2019. Covid put paid them coming out for a couple of years but I have no idea what the excuse is now. I still expect these to arrive at some point this year. As for the others , they need to get a wriggle on because Paul isn't getting any younger and he is involved in the curation of these sets. Youre right though, BTTE is thought of in much higher regard these days than it was back in 1979.There is a wealth of extra material available for BTTE (out takes and stuff from the UK tour if 1979) not so much for London Town.
