I was playing this a lot with the volume and bass way up '73, outside doing the yard etc. I just thought it sounded fantastic. I didn't give a damn it was "old ". The cool ones were listening to Crosby, Stills and Nash- which made me want to gag. I said that one day they'll all realize.

Paul really took bass to another level compared to the "backing sound" it was supposed to make holy shit
@Timliu923 жыл бұрын
@@maahrooreekee4295 The bassline of Drive My Car is one of my all-time favorite McCartney basslines. It is both groovy yet melodic and does not stick to the chord's root notes at the same time. Paul is the king when it comes to writing excellent, timeless basslines.

Been to see him twice and his very presence in the building generates such an energy of love that vibrates right round the arena, it’s tangible. That’s before he even hits the stage. I’ve seen him get a ten minute long standing ovation before he’s even said a word or played a note. The atmosphere is electric and no other performer has matched that level of pure love from an audience.

its hard to believe that two people with such a sublime gift of music genius (mccartney and lennon) not only played music in the same era, but played in the same band. The Beatles were truly the greatest band ever. there isnt even a close second place to them, and never will be.

So cool seeing all the different generations just jamming out to this song. So many of them weren't even born when this song was out, yet they know every word. That would be like the babyboomers rocking out the bands of the roaring '20s in the 1960s. It just is unheard of! Such a legend.

Saw him live at the Shark Tank as part of the US Tour. 2:30 without an intermission. The man was 63 at the time, and is still going strong! Greatest concert I have been to.

I was lucky to be at the kick off US tour concert at the american airlines arena , miami beach, in september, 2005 got a little bit dissapointed on the poor sound, though. it was too low. I coud hear some people yelling "turn it up" during the show. shame! 5 years later PM performed in Brazil and had a much better experience in terms of audio (and screens).

Every time I look at this performance it just raises my respect for this dude and all of his bandmates. Not only the crew he had at this time but the boys and (girl)of Wings, the rest of the Fab Four-John,George and Ringo,Mighty Mike and all who had the privilege of creating sounds with this guy. Did he start off in primary school band? I would've loved to have played the Eb alto saxophone in studio or can I say, live on stage with him. He's a part of human history we can put in the positive category. As Grandma used to say, "baby it may not be too late." Stay strong everyone during this burb our world is experiencing. All we need is love💝.
@daletwin115 жыл бұрын
I've had the good fortune of seeing him 4 times. At each show he played for almost 3 hours without a break. He gave the band a 20 minute break and did some acoustic stuff, but, he didn't take a break.I didn't even see him take a sip of water. Most singers take a swallow of water after every song. Not him. He probably took a drink between encores but, that was at the end of the evening. Incredible! Especially at his age. I will be seeing him again in August. I am really looking forward to it.
