Here in the UK Norman was cult viewing and was on late at night. My younger brother and I used to stay up to watch him and have a few drinks. I remember laughing till it hurt. Thanks Norman, you gave this pom a lot of happy memories,

Quite often those who suffer from Bi-Polar disorders or any mental disorders gravitate towards one of the many forms of satire or comedy. Maybe it allows them to escape their demons just for a little while.
@iancurtis1152
@iancurtis1152 3 жыл бұрын
I use escapism by relating to everything in a comedic way, responding to a situation that requires a level, balanced resolution. I find that (most times) I try to come over as someone else or make light of things to attempt to hide the fact that I’m not as confident as I’d like to be. When I’m up, I’m up.......and when I’m down, I can’t get down far enough. I can’t shake the black dog for days at a time. So I’m trying to give myself artificial “highs” sometimes it works & sometimes not.

Through till the axing of Hey Hey, It's Saturday. Nothing since then. They've worked out the cheapest formula is to recycle American reality TV. This is a fun video to see Paul during this time. Still, as much as I think Linda was probably a great mom and wife, I tire of seeing interviews with her where she's chimes in with Paul and she tries to be cheeky and funny and throws in her attempt at a British accent much like the Beatles interviews. I think this partly is why much of the rock press used to bash her so much back then. I think they really didn't care what she had to say but she was there. I give her credit for putting herself out there because Paul wanted her there but sometimes I wish she wouldn't say anything.
