With this guys back catalogue, it is highly likely that your favourite Paul McCartney song is one that you haven't heard yet. The King.
@sleepyraccoonfallingasleep Жыл бұрын
In McCartney the song really is about paul's deep depression at that time, and tells how linda's presence warmed and anchored him. To watch him sing this song in the late 70s gives me some very strange feelings, like those days of huge angst and anguish finally can be talked out, and a promising new chapter is to start. Combined with Coming Up also played in this concert, it's almost like opening the door of a possible reunion, with psychological readiness, love and hope.

I love this song! I love the recording he made at his home studio (I think he was devastated by the Beatles break up and this song was about the way he dealt with the break up, by getting closer to Linda and his family) Yes, I love the home studio recording. And I also love this performance. This version is less acoustic guitar- it is heavier and slower, but also bigger. And it is great too!
