Hi people, this time we go back 166 years .It's a blindfold challenge of 8 games simultaneously for Paul Morphy held by the chess association at Queens College in Birmingham .One of his competitors is Jabez Carr, who was the new club secretary for Lemington spar chess club he tried to confuse the blindfold Morphy with a flank opening move h6 but was quickly beaten by the unflappable Morphy. This is a defence opening, although not often used, but it's kept his name .
