Heard Irish accents of people who've lived in the USA for a while but never realized just how "sing songy" their accent can really get!

Bufordstrailer Sing song accents are typical of County Cork. Paul is from rural West Cork, where the accents are quite strong.

Irish accents aren't all exactly the same.........this is a thick western Ireland accent/ bog talk.........the Kildare accent is more sophisticated and classy, ( intelligent) Dublin accent is more rough and ready........but there all very different in so many ways

Ben Powe I hope you are not implying that people from West Cork (which, by the way, is on the south west of Ireland) are less intelligent than those from Dublin and Kildare. Let me assure you that West Corkonians are as smart as anyone else.
