He actually recorded it in Nashville and it made it to the radio UNTIL the Saints won the Super Bowl which killed the songs credibility. Long story, but he made my songwriter dream come true. Paul Overstreet is one of the nicest guys in country music! I have talked with him many times and he is always the same. No matter where I run into him he will be wearin a western shirt, blue jeans, cowboy boots and hat. He's very down to earth, and just a hoot to hang with. It's great to see one of the good guys have some success.

Seriously, I was the Fan Club Manager for Paul Overstreet, as an intern, in the Summer of 1990. Scarlet Moon Music. I once drove Paul to Paris, TN to pick up his restored '38 Coupe (of whatever it was.) That was a road trip I will NEVER forget! (Paul, I hope all is well!)
