You don't compare those two, Paul himself is said to be the strongest in the universe. If Akuma met him in the Tekken 7 story, I guarantee you he'd run scared.

I disagree, just because Paul has way too much silliness that outbalances his potential coolness. Everyone agrees that he was the best in TK4 because it put some real energy into making him cool.

I think people just feel like the goofy Paul schtick has gone on way too long. It's fine here and there, but all the time? Its just a bit too much when he has the potential to be more.

I always thought Paul was always comedic since 1994. • The first joke about Paul in TK1 was his poorly drawn portrait of Kazuya at 0:19. • The second was him in Marshall's TK2 ending where Paul fumbles a Flash Kick. • Paul's ending in TK3 shows him throwing a child-like tantrum to a motorcycle cop. • In Law's TKTT ending, Paul and Forrest accidentally kicked each other in the ring-gongs.

​​@@KEN-1991 it isn't just that, it's that Paul was also taken seriously back then because there were multiple times in the story where Paul could've won the tournament but due to the mishimas being the protagonist he always lost due to bullshit inconveniences In Tekken 6, they destroyed Law and Paul's character completely by making them cheat during the tournament, forgetting the fact that Paul's strength is in the same level as Kazuya's and that Law is based on Bruce Lee, would Bruce Lee ever lie to his audience? No. They basically turned them both into complete jokes forgetting that both of them had a serious side to them as well.

I bought it day 1. I honestly think it's just a timing issue because it launched In the videogaming prime era. Also most of tekken's current fans were way too young to play it, but old enough to play tekken 5. Most of the current fans of Tekken are from 5 onwards.

And Paul got defeated, by Kazuya in Tekken 1’s semi finals, the 2 hours lasting fight, is nothing but pure, Luck for Paul, because kazuya didn’t use his, Devil Gene when he was fighting against Paul, that’s why the fight lasted for hours. But if Kazuya used his devil gene, the fight will be over in seconds, for Pauline.

@@mrscaryman.955 Kazutrash was defeat by Heihachi even with his devil power, even with luck he still losing. the poor child wait he was a 80 years old man to beat him, what a strong character! Luck doesn't run for 2 hours, only skill does. Paul beat everyone in Tekken 3, Ogre and Jin included and it was easy for him to do (he had no serious injury) Ogre is as strong as the devil and he still beat him easy; of course the past Paul can take the little man with daddy issue: he was his rival.
