The first time Amanda hears his voice, her eyes were as wide as they could go. It was like what..?! The second time they show here, you can see the emotion building inside her. And then later they show her literally in tears. The emotion this man puts forth is palpable to say the least. What an amazing talent. I and dare I say the world is glad the coin turned up heads!

Paul said that his idol was Mario Lanza and he did a concert in his honor. Anyone who likes Paul's performance should listen to Mario sing. It is one of the great experiences of life and there are many videos available, Paul is correct in idolizing Lanza. Who else but Mario Lanza could sing this with such passion? He was the most versatile tenor of all time. He sang lyric opera magnificently as he did popular songs; perform on the stage and screen, radio and television. There has never been anyone like him before or after who also had an amazing influence on singers and performers everywhere. A new, bestselling book, “A KID FROM PHILADELPHIA, MARIO LANZA, THE VOICE OF THE POETS,” is a wonderful homage to one of the greatest entertainers of all time. It is a must for anyone who loves Lanza and great music and great voices
@arx7545 жыл бұрын
My father had a couple of albums of Mario Lanza and played them constantly. We were poor, so other than those, we only had 3 other albums in the house: Soundtracks from West Side Story and Sound of Music. And, "Marty Robbins' Greatest Hits" (also my father's choice". Im NOT a country music fan, but I still know the words to all of Robbins' songs. lol.

Something about Paul and Susan,that captures the hearts of people around tge world, They were under dogs,and were judged,on their appearances,by the audience and the judges. Simon admitted he did this ,he felt bad about Susan,and gave her a change to become a super star . Both were humble,and were bullied for many years,even to adulthood. That’s why we love them both, that’s why they captured our hearts, I can’t think of any other two people who had an impact.

what makes him the best at it is that he was singing for his audience not for the judges. he want it a chance to let that musical force to be release from his chest to the world of reality. jesse

Ant and Dec tell a funny story about Paul Pott's audition in that Ant and Dec didn't even bother to interview Paul or even watch his performance. They went to the canteen for a sandwich when their meal was rudely interrupted by a standing ovation. You can see them sheepishly show up as Paul walks off stage.

Perfectionism speak "I felt their was too much tension in the top and i thought i had blown it" Above Average people think this way and no one ever noticed the overal performance was brilliant to them and compard to the rest he was outstanding and they stood in appreciation, this way of thinking keeps them small yet look at a product like a computer and all the Bugs they would of had in the first versions yet they sold them any way and now look. It is good to be a perfectionist in some ways because when work is thin on the ground you will still have work yet perfectionist tend to pick on them selves for not achieving enough and beat them selves up and become alcoholics and isolated unless they are around intelligent kind people there aren't many of those around not enough anyway. Good on ya Paul you stood you gave and u were appreciated People do not appreciate the talents they are given and write them off as ho hum so what : ( It has taken me 54 years to appreciate the talents i was given developed what ever you want to say, i used to think nothing of them now i do but is it too late ? Of course not one last chance : )

@nejacne68 He sang it for himself. If you've had a down-trodden life, lacked self-confidence and had a particular gift that few people knew about (he never sang in front of his co-workers), this is the perfect platform. Hit or miss, it would define his life forever. It was a hit...
