Living proof the Great Creator likes to use people as His Vessel. Gut wrenching, honest, emotional, raw. Life saving. Peace to all Brothers and Sisters

I’ve loved this song for wow, more than 40 years now? As I listen to Simon perform, I imagine a choir of men and women singing it a cappella and just killing an audience. It’s like a Buddhist meditation about cravings set to a kid’s song melody.

I think Paul is underrated..When the general public thinks of the greatest singer-song writers I'm not sure he's thought of right away. And he should be.He's right there with Dylan. Ans I think his music is more accessible than Dylan to the average listener.Legend!

Thank you Brenda...I just used your posting here to assist me in arranging this song to finally play out, something I always wanted to do (I just posted Paul's "Homeward Bound" onto KZfaq, if you'd like to take a listen) & Thank you Paul "Frederic" for your unbelievably, beautiful, long-time, musical contribution to our World!

Thanks Brenda for posting this one: just sent it to one who was also bored like me regarding "the candidates debate". He citated the title of this song so I went for a search. Good vid!

This song is pretty good -- nice feeling and great lyrics. That occasional dominate 7th on the C chord seems to be misplaced, would have been better left out.

Drew De La Cruz To me the 7th is the musical cornerstone of this pop-BLUES song. The 7th adds depth/texture to these unresolved and challenging lyrics: A. He longed to tell him.....B> I'm afraid that I will disappear....C. And think of things that might have been......D. Like a thorny crown......E. The nearer your destination The more you're slip slidin'....F. Then he turned around......G. The information's unavailable to the mortal man. Basically, life slowly gets away from all of us...which a longing 7th alludes to
