Hi Paul, when you said “ I’m not only a member, I’m a fan of the music we wrote”… I truly believe this is one of the most important reasons why KISS has been so successful.

It is years later and I am still watching these videos. Thank you Paul and thank you to all of the medical teams, remote teachers, first responders, and the man that picks up my garbage. Some lead guitarist are not as good as Paul. I was telling my husband about his playing. He said that sometimes the rhythm has to be better because he helps to hold the bass and drum line together and build something for the lead to follow.

Paul is underrated as a guitar player in a similar way that McCartneys bass can be overlooked. Stanley’s chord inversions and right hand groove are unparalleled. Not to mention HE WROTE AND SANG THE BEST KISS SONGS by miles. Total respect for this guy.

People throw around the word underrated too much. What makes Paul Stanley underrated exactly? He's a good guitar player who plays well. What's there to underrate? He does what he should and he can play guitar.
@casey.j18602 жыл бұрын

@@holdingtonfarley4444 Because people typically are in awe of the lead guitarist more so than the rhythm. Most guitarists look up more to Ace Frehley than Paul Stanley, and despite what the 70s KISS purists might say, guitarists Vinnie Vincent, Mark St. John, and Bruce Kulick were honestly even better than Ace ever was. But I’ve always had great respect for Gene and Paul as songwriters. Even if they’re not the most technical virtuosic musicians, they’ve consistently made amazing music over what, half a century now. Never met a KISS album I didn’t like.

Paul, my first KISS album was Rock n Roll Over, and the moment I heard Makin Love's opening riff, I was a KISS fan for life. At that moment, like most fans, I chose you as my favorite KISS character. I loved rhythm guitar. And the fact that you made it look and sound so awesome was just icing on the cake.Paul, you changed my life. I was no longer that kid that everybody ignored. You and KISS understood what I wanted from a band. I wore my KISS T-shirts with pride. I wore the grooves down in that album, and my mother hated it. Which made it so much better. :D. When I heard Destroyer and Love Gun it solidified why I loved your band so much. KISS brought me out of the darkest times in my life. When I served in the Army in Germany in the late 80's, Crazy Nights and Asylum were always playing. Shining their light into that darkness. Thank you for all the amazing music.

Many thanks Paul...as a lifelong KISS ARMY member way back from 1976 I thank you for making my childhood and life better. I picked up and learned guitar because of KISS. Destroyer was the first album I ever listened to track by track. Rock and Roll over was the first album I ever bought with my own money. Great times and albums. Keep rocking Paul!

Paul stanley what a guy. A proper example to any aspiring young artists. Really genuine thoughtful and down to earth considering his mega wealth ( all well earned btw). So nice to see him giving back to the people in this way at this uncertain time. Hope he continues these vids as im sure they cheer up everyone who watches. Respect!!

Right? So many times I couldn't help but think "That must be Ace." But most of the time it was Paul. PAUL!!
@santanaincubus4 жыл бұрын
He's mostly Riff based,while Ace does both Riff and solos, so they both play the Riff at the same time. Then Ace does the solo. But Paul Stanley is Amazing as a guitarist and so is his riffs, and let's not forget he's also thee Lead Singer of KISS.

Back in April of 2000, I was in 8th grade. Our teacher said our class had to break into groups, and each group had to pretend to be a band between 1960-1975. We were to dress as them and play air guitar, air drums, etc for "Woodstock" in front of the whole school. I wanted to be the Beatles because I had never heard any other music from that era. A kid in my group was adamant that we be KISS, which I was originally against. I finally agreed to sample their music, took his KISS CD home, played Rock And Roll All Nite for the first time in my boom box, and FELL IN LOVE!! I've now been a die hard KISS fan for 20 years! Can't wait to see them AGAIN this September in Illinois!

@PaulStanley-dg7hk I have been to several of your shows and I can say that I was blown away every time! What a show! Nobody puts on a concert like you do...worth every penny and the long drive to get there! I hope that you continue to rock the house for as long as you desire. Your vocals are the best in the world and your guitar playing is outstanding and creative! I am wheelchair bound as I have stage 4 cancer. I try to play my Stratocaster when I am able but not much any more, I still do try though. This video was a bright spot in my day and I thank you for that. Do you have any advice for someone like me? I try to keep my chin up but it’s really hard, do you have any advice for me? Is there an email for you? It would be really great to chat. I know you’re super busy but I’m hoping...thanks Paul!

Extra special thanks to you Paul for playing "Hotter Than Hell" in most of its entirety. Been trying to figure out that song for a good minute! That album of the same name was my first introduction to KISS as a kid in 1st Grade circa 1976. Hope you had a Merry Christmas 🎅🤶🎄, Happy Hanukkah🕎 and hope you & family have a blessed & happy New Year 2024! ROCK ON! Enjoy your time off in retirement. Give those Avatars some attitude too! g m what a stupid assed comment. I’m sure he has lip synced before if he was sick or had lost his voice after performing every night for six months but this guy can outperform ANY rock band lead singer that’s been playing a long as he has.

I was a huge KISS fan as a kid in the 70's, and saw them many times live, the earliest being the Hotter than Hell tour in 1974. I have seen all the great bands of the 70's and 80's live including Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kansas, Journey......., and let me tell you something about Paul Stanley. Absolutely nobody leaves it all out there on the stage for their fans like he does. Incredible energy and just gives it all for the show. I saw them last in 2015 and at 63 years old he was still as energetic and passionate as ever. These rock icons from the golden age of Classic Rock that are still with us should be appreciated and seen live as often as possible. There are few performers in the current music scene to replace them. Paul, thank you so much for still doing what you do and making us feel like kids again when we here your music.
