In celebration I will be covering the career of Canadian CART legend Paul Tracy, a topic suggested by one of my viewers named Marcus Wong. Tracy was a beast in the 90s and 2000s in the CART and ChampCar scene, a fierce competitor both on and off the track. Let's take a look back at his career and his most memorable moments!

Tracy was a beast behind the wheel! No matter what car he was always as quick as anyone. He was also overweight which made even faster than people think. Being one of the heaviest drivers he would lose about half a second a lap around Road America to most drivers before turning a corner due to the extra weight he had. He was just like Mansell, the most exciting and aggressive racer and brilliant overtaker. They both had awful luck and made poor mistakes, should have multiple world titles. Each winning the title in their 13th year in the series of F1 or Indy. Always so much drama and excitement whenever Tracy got behind the wheel. He beat all his teammates at some point - including Fittipaldi, Unser Jnr, Andretti, Franchitti. Doesn't get enough credit for how good he actually was and also given horrible treatment from CART officials punishing him for anything and everything while letting other big names get away with the same.

As a Quebecer I had my favorites of course at the time, but I instantly made peace with PT and lmao when he first appeared in front of me at the hairpin as the "Crasy Québecer". It was brilliant and everyone in this great Canadian family understood perfectly the joke, and the satire of the general Quebecer of the time.

It was always a pleasure watching PT race. He was always the first on it! He wouldn't give an inch. A true racer through and through! PT is arbuably one of the quickest to ever strap into a race car. They just dont make 'em like that anymore

PT made indycar racing fun to watch. Definitely one of my favorite drivers of all time, and I would love to meet him in person someday (being a fellow Canadian, just down the road from TO).

When you are starting races on the same grid as multiple F1 champions, and during The single greatest era of American open wheel icons(M&M Andretti,Unser jr,B.Rahal,Vasser)as well as greats like J.P.Montoya,Zanardi ect.. Being unable to get a championship(btw, known for its level playing field where you can see a new winner at every GP) in Pauls career doesn't take away from his excellency.The dude looked like a goddamn Long Haul, 16 wheeler truck driver. And the fact that he talked crap like one, made him even more 👌 awesome.

Tracy was making Mansell look like an amateur on road and street courses in 93 and 94, people forget that.

@@AftertheFlag really, that makes my day! Life’s been busy, I’m still a high school student. Between homework, cross country, and a new church program I’m trying to get off the ground, it’s been hard to find time. I’ve missed a lot of racing, and I didn’t feel like the channel was going much of anywhere, but if you feel like it was pretty good, I just might get back to it. I kinda miss it. Anyway, keep up the good work. Maybe we can cross over sometime

Tracy is currently tied for 10th on the indycar all time wins list with Franchitti and Castroneves (31 race wins). Lil' Al is 9th with 34 wins.
