Hi, there. My daughter got through severe depression..in the midst, I truly accepted Jesus as my savior. Miraculously, my daughter also is drawing near to God since she got into a college. It was really a miracle!! I deep dive into the Bible during this Covid months. It feels like reading an epic drama ,which is different from when I used to read out of curiosity... Exactly,I been through severe panic attack episodes and was carried to a CB therapist to counsil me..but I came out sharing salvation to him..I remember the way he was shocked..I dropped off medicines prescribed and is healed now..but like u said I am not keen Bible reader..am trying but not happening ..any tips to throw at me?

It is good when God reveals our condition to us so that we can confess to Him, so just confess and repent, ask for and receive His forgiveness, get up, and get on with the good fight, ask God to change your heart, and the also forgive yourself. You're not a shameful creature! You can't be made to feel less Christian. You either are Christian or you aren't. No one is shamed into the kingdom of God. The gospel is not a message of condemnation but one of love and hope. We stand before God equally sinful and can't add one thing to what Christ has done on the cross. For God so loved the world. He did not come to condemn the world but in love to save us and once saved we are all being sanctified, John 3:16, 17. Come to our loving Father without shame and even with boldness because of Christ.

If you weren't a true believer, you would not of been convicted of your shame. I go through that from time to time. It's a normal thing for the Christian. We repent( tell the Lord how sorry we are, ask for forgiveness, n press on) Your a human being . Not a creature. God knows our hearts n yet he still loves us. Why say he should join the army, so he could go fight political fights? That are for money they dont care about they're soldiers I can guarantee you that they care about the money they can make off them because they think it's for they're country. I know many friends who were in the military and came out with a whole different Knowledge and perspective the only people that care about them are they're families and brothers they're fighting with.
