Total respect for Paul. When everyone of his era is out flogging old material, he continues to tour with new recordings. And he turned down a place on the honours list. Good man Paul, you are one of a kind.

Can't take this song out of my head and I fucking love It.

Great to see proper bands and guitar tunes like this and what Liam Gallagher & John Squire are doing getting the spotlight. Paul continues to deliver and have an impact, which speaks volumes 40-ish years and three careers after we first encountered him as that angsty young mod in the Jam.

The first single I brought was Funeral Pyre - it played and played in our old record player cabinet... 66 is doing the same thing on Spotify - everywhere I go. What a lucky world we are to have Paul Weller. Thank you. The best keeps getting better.

Paul is like a good red wine, the older he gets and the longer he makes music, the better he gets. But his band is also fantastic and I was able to experience that in Cologne in 2023.

Great song… again:) Nice changes and that guitar sound…. Yeah!!! The fact that Weller is still functioning on such a high level is a testament to his commitment to the art:) No famous oldies tour BS. Respect:)

There's a lot of songs on 66 that vocally and song wise sounds like David Bowie's Black Star album. A few people have noticed this, and they both broke up their first successful bands to change directions, Jam, and Ziggy and the Spiders. Paul's got a son called Bowie too. Both consistently changed direction. I may not always like it, but respect it. This is my favourite from the new album.

I totally agree,The Jam was the first band and music I ever got into way back in the 1970’s but I couldn’t get into the solo stuff like I thought I would?….dont get me wrong,there’s some really good songs but I find a lot of it a bit dreary and middle of the road etc

@@71ibanez A mate of mine got me into "Wild Wood". I really like that and one or two other songs that I can't even remember their titles but, yeah his solo stuff is just a bit dull, isn't it?

@andyanderson3567Ай бұрын
Doubtless the Beeb said no and quite right ! Cannot believe he had that flag when he toured ? I know a load of hardcore fans were hacked off bout that and understandably so. I was a mega fans for decades gigs/records/ clothing labels now to hell with him ! Wouldn't go if i had a free ticket and many i know feel the same ! ! I think most of us knew he wasn't the brightest light in the room but really ? 🙄🙄🙄

Paul mid paced rockers Weller, give him credit for continuing to create new material, but it's not up to standard, hasn't been for a long time.
