Nice restaurant.but if I paid for my dinner that meal belongs to me,I should be able to take home what i don't eat.

My wife and I ate there last week. We asked about the left over food which we could not take with us. Our waiter said unfortunately it is thrown away. They should left the customers take it with them.

WHAT DO THEY DO WITH THE LEFTOVERS ??? WHY CANT YOU TAKE IT HOME?? THEY CAN HAVE SOME KIND OF RULES SET IN PLACE THAT YOUR JUST NOT GETTING DISHES TO TAKE HOME WITH YOU...TOO MUCH WASTE !! Food is good, but not great. Cost is a little high for what they have. Glad you mentioned the drinks "Ridiculous" $3.50 should be included since the way you have to order. Would go to Old Mill instead. Very similar menu and go to the Paula Dean store in Gatlinburg. Little late on the salad. Thanks for the review.

Looks great, but the fact that you can’t take leftovers home, just means food waste 😣. As a food service professional, that drives me crazy!! If you paid for it, you should be able to take it home!! N

We almost ate there and sat down and then left when we were told we would not be able to take leftovers with us. I can’t imagine how a restaurant won’t let you take your leftovers that you paid for with you.

You know when you eat at all you eat Buffet place you can't take a Doggy Bag home . You eat all you want there and leave the rest. If you can't eat that much food then don't eat at places like Paula Deen's that rude to say that about this restaurant.

I enjoyed seeing all the things for sale in the shop. That shop is much bigger than I remember on my last visit. Food looked much better than I remember. Cheers x

I’ve been there a few times. Mostly good experiences, but did have a visit there where my wife and I did not like food that day. Maybe an off day? I just can’t get onboard with not letting people take home whatever food was already on the table. That creates a lot of unnecessarily wasted food, especially for the price you pay there. We have eaten there several times, the last time about a month ago. Have always found the food to be very good. Never a bad meal or experience. Thanks for your review - glad you enjoyed your meal. Dawn I love your Cafe Loveless tshirt - ate there in Nashville last month - great biscuits and Nashville hot chicken.

Thank you for mentioning you can't take home a doggie bag! (OK, why just dessert?? and why on earth not?) That is a deal-breaker for me considering all the food they give you. Leftovers the next day rock! Love all your adventures!

I agree , if I pay for it then it’s mine. They got the my money ! And I want My food ! I’ve had stomach surgery And can only eat about a cup of food at the time ! That’s very unfair to their patrons! I’m like you this is a deal breaker for me also !

I d go somewhere else. Very same reason card companies don’t give leftover cards away, someone will sell them at the flea market. No all you can eat restaurant lets you take home leftovers because people cheat and over order then want to take it all home.

Ate there many times and have always enjoyed it. We have also ate at her restaraunt in Savanah. We met her 2 sons at the Savanah location. Also love the Merchandise. Good job guys.

Everything looks so good! When you guys get a chance you need to go over to Jonesboro Tennessee to the kitchen at Grace Meadows. They are a family style restaurant similar to Paula Deen’s. It is a beautiful farm and the food is delicious!

Too bad my mom has passed. I would have LOVED to get the shirt with the stains on it and wear it around her. I can just hear her complaining about the stains and that I should give her the shirt immediately for her to get the stains out!!!! It would have been a great April Fools joke!!! Ha. The food looked really good today!! 💕💕

We spent 2 days at the Island, Sunday and Monday this week! We ate at Timberwood grill and loved it. Paula Dean’s wasn’t a restaurant we had to try-have a small child who is picky.

I think that would be a great place to go to for Thanksgiving dinner and even though it’s on the high side with the cost of groceries today for a family of four or five it still might be a better deal. I did Thanksgiving for 22 years straight and always spent between two and $300 by the time I bought everything for about 10 people. Coming back for the Craftsmans fair! Might have to do Paula Deen‘s this time!

Go back to the basics when cooking a meal for a crowd. We stopped buying soda and make iced tea. We ask those who attend to bring an item.

I'm sorry but if l pay almost $60.00 Bucks for a meal, and l want to take some of it home for later, and they tell me "You can't take it home"..I'd reply "Oh, so the meal is free"? and they'd say "No", I'd say "if l pay for this meal, it belongs to me, and l will either take it home...or the meal is on the house and you can keep it"😐

Ate in that very restaurant 2 years ago. Myself and the three people with me were not impressed. They have since built one in Branson, maybe after a few years I'll try again.

My family and I ate there once. We did not know that you had to tell them in advance that you wanted to take the desserts home. Our desserts were brought to our table and when we said we wanted to take it with us we were told we could not because they had already brought it to our table. The waiter was not clear on the fact we had to say we wanted it to go. So needless to say be sure you tell them you want it to go before the waiter walks away from the table to get to desserts. Over all the food we ordered was good.

When I was a child, I used to go to Gatlinburg with my parents, and I would always get a Smoky Bear. Great memory!

That sweet potato butter is so good on warm biscuits or toast. I tried making the oowey gooey butter cake, and ended up with oowey gooey mess lol

I went one time and I would go again, should I be in an area where they have them. I'm glad the broccoli casserole was good where you were. The one I had was really salty, but it could have just been that time and not normally. I think they should let you take home leftovers since they will be thrown away anyway. But, I'm guessing that since it is all you can eat that is why they do that.

We just got back from the smokies and our experience with Paul's deens want that great. The mac and cheese was so dry you couldn't eat it and so was the broccoli and cheese. The fried chicken was ok and the meatloaf was ok (just ok, my wifes food puts it to shame). The corn was very Delicious and the mashed potatoes were good also. The service was lacking especially since they weren't very busy. Just my experience. Everyone told me how great it was and honestly it wasnt. We will try it again next time because everyone has an off day every now and then.

@@gingershay8535 Totally agree not very good at all!! 2 hour wait and totally disappointed. The ribs and chicken and dumplings were terrible most of the food had no flavor the only thing that was good was the green beans.

We must have been there at the same time. Most the food was ok but that was about it. They did bring us a lot. The wait time was more like two hours. When we finely got to go upstairs we had to wait against the wall for another 15 to 20 minutes before we got seated. The place was packed and super loud.

The yams are probably sweet potatoes. 95% of yams are grown in Africa. Americans call them candied yams, but they're actually sweet potatoes.

While it may be considered pricey for a couple, it is a great value for a family. Kids are discounted based on age and it is all you can eat so go with an appetite. If you're looking for just a quick bite or a small meal, this isn't the place for that. She used to have a sandwich shop on the Island, but I think it closed during the pandemic. I didn't see it last time I was there this summer.

I've been, but wasn't too impressed. We had a 2 hour wait, even after going online & registering. Also, we thought the food was extremely pricey and they only allow you to take home the dessert 😞

we eat at one in nashville n the waitress let us take our desserts home, thought the mac n cheese was dry, catfish is amazing!! but i love the chicken!
