No. I did the same thing with an appetizer in mini muffin tins. Was worried about the crust holding together but they turned out perfect. I reckon we both can thank the custard for helping out on that score. I used homemade white cheddar crackers because I can't stand that funky orange cheese. Also added a significant amount of black pepper. After slicing onions on a mandolin, I gave them a chop with the knife to make them smaller for the appetizer size.

I like dishes like this because you can just throw whatever in there. Good way to get rid of excess food ingredients you don’t know what to do with.

I've got one of these in the oven now, but casserole sized not pie pan sized 😁 and since there's cheese and bacon, I used cheddar jalapeno goldfish crackers ! This oven timer won't ever go off 🤣

Oh my gosh when Paula suggested lump crab meat I did a quick intake of air! Sounded so good! It was funny because the second after I reacted Paula gave a look to the camera as if to say "great idea huh?" as if she had seen me react. 😄 🤣 Paula love your recipes, everyone that I have tried have been a smash hit!! ❤️ Definitely will be trying this pie.

I have to try that on the food preparation fireplace... that is a beautiful kitchen Ms Paula I wish it were here I live in a little chef's cottage with a full size 200-year-old fireplace 150 200 years old whatever it is I'm not that old yet that was used for food preparation for the main house it's absolutely outstanding and then I have my own wood system outside for my ribs and my chicken or whatever I want to prepare with pellets I have a professional pellet grill the food tastes so much better I have to try that bacon onion pie I think I might use a smoked alligator sausage with that onion that sounds great thank you for all of the excellent time and recipes that I have learned from you you're wonderful person have a beautiful family God bless you...pops
