I love this. What a beautiful Easter basket for little girls. I have my Easter basket I had as a child. It is a oval heavy basket, and you sure can not find them like that anymore. I love Easter. I can remember as a child going to our church and having Easter egg hunts, and they would have cupcakes and lemonade. I can remember dying Easter eggs with my mother, she always loved the purple egg color. She loved to hide plastic Easter eggs for my nephews and great niece year around. She loved hiding Easter eggs. I can remember when we were cleaning out the house after her death, we found a plastic Easter egg, and it brought back so many of those memories of my mother. Holidays are so hard for me, but I cherish those memories in my heart forever. Thank you Paula for sharing. I love hearing about your Aunt Peggy, she is such a special lady, just like you are. I love making things for the grandbabies.

Back in my day, our Easter baskets consisted of candy, lots of it, (good quality chocolate) and maybe one or two trinkets. No toys, no money. I remember getting a beautiful children's Bible, with a white cover and gold lettering on it, one year in my basket. ( I still have it.) Times change, I guess.

I love making these types of baskets to give as gifts. One tip I do that really helps with the cellophane wrap, is when you bring up the longer front and back pieces, secure first with a rubber band in the middle. Then tape your sides up, and then attach your ribbon, picks, etc. ❤️❤️❤️ Very cute Easter basket 🧺

Paula I have a small white basket that the church gave to me with fresh flowers in it when my daughter was born. Every year I hot glue eyelet lace ,ribbon bows and small artificial flowers on it and fill it with goodies. That basket is 32 years old. I enjoy decorating it.

Ya know, after watching this video, and some of the comments about commercialism and losing the whole meaning of this very holy holiday, got me to thinking about a past era that will never be again. Growing up, we didn't have much, but we never knew we didn't! Mom n Dad always made sure we had essentials, and really, food was our treat, with special dishes to mark the occasion. When I think of past holidays growing up, it's always always about special foods and family. Sure, we did get a small Easter basket, but it had candy, a small trinket and colored eggs (real eggs), sometimes a few oranges. My special memories are always food-related...what can kids today say about their formative years, except to say how much money or toys, etc. that will have long been forgotten. I feel sorry that today's generation will never know what really, really matters. Maybe not all kids, but more and more it seems so. The world has definitely changed, and not necessarily for the better. Happy Easter everyone! ✝️🕊️🐇🐣🌷

I use two large pieces of wrap, criss cross them? Then there is plenty to pull up and tie, just tucking the excess in on the sides. Adorable basket!

I made a lot of Easter baskets for my daughter and my son when they were growing up. I would love to make them for all of my grandchildren, but I can't afford it. I'll just have to let the Easter Bunny take care of them. You had a lot of great ideas though...!! 💞 But do you know what I have always wanted to do...? Ever since I was a little girl I've aleays wanted a May poll. I ask my husband would he make me and all the kids one. My Dollar Tree actually sells a 2 pack of cellophane bags that are for baskets.. 24" x 30" / 2 for $1.25.. I always keep them on hand .. even to make wedding or shower baskets with lots of goodies . I also turn them upside down over all my seasonal lanterns to keep them dust free in the garage. And since summer is right after spring... I put little swim trunks, children's sun glasses and maybe colorful flip flops for the little ones .

I have 4 grandchildren, 3 boys and 1 girl. I would love to make a big beautiful basket like that but it's just too expensive for me. But I do get each one a special toy and some different little things and a little bit of candy. I put them in Easter bags. I got my granddaughter an Ariel mermaid. I just cant wait to see her eyes light up. My littlest grandson, he loves to help cook and has been asking for some pancakes to cook in his little kitchen so I have him a basket of toy food including those pancakes. He will be so happy. The other 2 boys are 10 and 13 and they want money. Lol. Your basket is so beautiful Paula. You put some great ideas in my head. Thanks and Happy Easter

This is such a wonderful video! And your Aunt Peggy must have been an absolutely awesome person! What a beautiful gift for a sweet girl on Easter! Our older daughter’s (we were blessed with two wonderful daughters!) first job in high school was working in a gift shop that specialized in gift baskets for all seasons and all events, and she became a pro at making the most beautiful gift baskets! I was in awe of some of the things they put together - even gift baskets with an engagement ring! Thank you for another great video and wonderful story of your aunt Peggy! Love watching you put the basket together and hear the story about your Aunt. I would be embarrassed to show my baskets because this NaNa goes overboard with the candy! We just returned from Branson and ate at your restaurant. I had gooey butter cake but the bottom of it was made with graham cracker crust. Every thing was good.

Have you ever used the wrap that you heat up with a blow dryer? And I think I’d use two sheets of that cellophane wrap..one in front to back and one side to side and pull up to the top and add rubber band and bow.

You should try the foil wrap that you use the hair dryer and then you only have to use a little bit of scotch tape
