The koala is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. It is the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae and its closest living relatives are the wombats.

The koala mum is so loving, caring and cautious. Her baby does not want to listen, it is exploring independently. They are absolutely beautiful.

So sad but yet so beautiful. So many of these beautiful little koalas and other animals have died in those bushfires. None of the animals and people deserve this happening to them. Funny - most koalas, even in zoos, aren't this active. I usually see them clinging to a tree and sometimes they glance up at the humans, then duck their heads and look away shyly. I think I went to this zoo at some point, but it was a long time ago. I did once visit a zoo (or reserve) where they allowed you to take pictures holding a koala, but that was in 2002. There's still a picture of me trying to smile but looking worried as a koala clings onto me with its claws. It didn't hurt, but it did feel very weird.

I love animals & hate zoos !! I wish & hope that someday all the zoos will be operating for rehabilitation & reproducing / helping endangered species purposes only !! Just like many pet shops have stopped selling cats & dogs the least !! But ,here you displayed the lovely mother's love ,so I enjoyed watching this ! I thought she started tapping her thigh like drumming practice 1st there !! LOLLOLLOL. Til I realized she was scratching herself !! Lol. Maybe because I play drums a little bit . Lol. I need to start practicing more again ! It's hard as it went right into covid lockdowns right after I started ! And I don't have my own drum kit ! But ,I played it right away on the 1st day !! With cymbals ! Added the kick drum on the 2nd day & hi hat on the 3rd day all together ! I never knew !! That drums suit me the best !!! I REALLY love drumming !!! I wanted to visit Australia ,my late father wanted to travel there with me ,but unfortunately he passed two years later . Australia is in my bucket list still ! I am jealous of you !! 💜🥁🐉🎤💞

Our daughter lived in Australia for 10 years so we got to go many times. An amazing Country... she has now moved to America a place we have visited many times before..... and infact this years we will visit the last 5 states... meaning we have been to all 50 States. It's taken over 20 years but has been an incredible experience.

OMG!!! THEY Are SOOOO ADORABLE!!! BUT.... Good Heavens they've GOT a Really BAD case of FLEAS!!! I SURE hope theyre keepers NOTICED after this video and got them BOTH, a Flea Bath!!! Its SO PAINFUL seeing, and in her case..., HEARING 😱 them Suffering like that!!!😟 GOD BLESS EM!!!🐨💋🙏💗💗💗😇

the baby was climbing up and down up and down didn't want the mother to stop it, was nibbling when the mom tried to pull the baby to her. I noticed the mother was shaking at one point.

If you are lucky and see a koala in the wild with an ear tag , It tells you 2 things ~ the koala has been in care (hospital) , checked concerning population OR depends which ear the tag is in it will tell you if it's a boy or a girl. (Right ear means it's a girl. Left ear it's a boy). ( I am a wildlife rescuer)
