This is an excellent axle finish method. I've looked at the problem on some other channels, and this way seems to produce the best results. Great job!

Hi Paul those crimps you use have they been modified so they are flat on both sides.i don't seem to be able to find find any with out a sharp edge.l ham new to this can you use any nails for Axel's.brilliant videos you do.cheers.

@@PaulRestorer what are these made of? The ones I bought at Amazon are so easily bent when hammering and I dont even get the shape out of it when hammering it. Have you tried with a concave shaped grinding stone with the rotary tool? It might would be a more delicate approach :) if it works.
