Building an effortless golf swing all starts at set up. This tip explains what I feel at set up.
So many people are way too tight when they set up to the golf ball. This tightness is going to make it next to impossible to make an effortless golf swing.
Once you start to loosen up and feel what I feel you at least have a chance to make an effortless golf swing.
After you watch this golf tip, make sure you try this the next time you hit golf balls. It'll take a few minutes to get used to this new, relaxed feeling so don't quit after a few balls. The payoff if you learn it is an effortless swing.

Excellent advise Paul for staying relaxed at set up and during the swing! About a year ago, I started to relax my grip, wrists, and forearms. I started to hit the ball with more consistency and power. Hopefully, more golfers will heed your advise and see for themselves the definite change it will make it their golf game. Well done Paul! Keep up the good work!

I say it like it is for sure. Hey, just wondered if you say this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q6ddrJp30bm8ZGg.html Watch it carefully especially the leg action. Just like Hogan. So make sure you are not copying the newer version of his swing. He really didn't hit it more that about 250. I was standing right there many times watching him.

Yes, he changed his grip and swing to match the Natural Golf model better. I think his backswing was too short. He couldn't have hit it more that 250. He was dead straight though.

Glad you like them. Thanks. A lot of people have trouble turning the arms off. If you feel you are hitting immediately go down to 50% effort level. This turns the arms back off. Then you increase the legs and hips for more power. No sense hitting hard. This is the wrong sensation. You want to do that a little as possible so get rid of that feeling into the future.

3:53 - Always amazed me how you anchor that trail arm to the side of your lower torso in the downsing. Makes perfect sense, a fulcrum point for that amazing release. Completely different than the modern arms out in front stuff we see everywhere.
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf 2 жыл бұрын
I have never thought of this it just happens. No hitting and it should tuck on its own. Just keep trying to loosen. Yes, this new swing is something I will never teach. It is obviously not dominating so why do it? Why not copy the best of all time. Sheffler = old school. Justin Thomas = Old school. There was a teacher I went to just over 20 years ago who taight that new swing. I tried it and couldn't keep it out of the parking lot to the right.

@@paulwilsongolf I just got done practicing half-swings using your "arm to the side as a fulcrum" with loose wrists. Just wow, the release was noticeably crisp. I can't do a full swing yet and still not consistent, BUT ... since I got Monday off, the camera and I are off to the range ... BEFORE it gets hot!! Paul, if you get a chance can you point me to a video of your swing "down the line?" Thanks!
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf 2 жыл бұрын
Loose wrists is the key. You need the speed. Looser = faster. There has to be a reason 12 year old can hit it by you. They are not strong so they have to do it somehow. As for a down the line view I would take a look at this one. I didn't watch it but I should have a hit a ball from down the line: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/npt0qrdn3M6npaM.html You can also take a look at the thumbnails. Any showing down the line is the view I shot it at.

You need to go out by yourself with 3 golf balls in your pocket. You don't keep score. You swing at 50%. Drop balls and hit extra shots. It is about actually trying something new when you play. I haven't worn a glove since I was 16. Back then a nice leather glove was $16. I was going through a glove a week. I couldn't afford it. The synthetic gloves aren't like are today. They were slippery. If they were like they are today I would probably still be using a glove. Not big on the 1 untanned hand though. If you are going to do it you need grips that provide the grip for your gloveless hands. I like the Tour Wraps. They are nice and sticky plus they last forever.

I wish I could get this working, I hit 100 balls at the range today trying this method and cannot generate any power and distance, it does feel good on the body, my other stack and tilt method ive been using hurts my left leg and wrist so looking for other methods. Ill keep trying this out, just wish I can generate the power and "timing" needed for this swing.
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf 2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you want too much too fast. Why not keep mastering it and make sure you are doing it right. How long did it take you to do S&T? typically I can get people barely swinging hitting it 80% - 90% of their normal distance. Imagine almost as far with nothing. Wouldn't that mean that once they learned how to start using their legs they would be even longer than before? Sure does. So understand it. Master it. Then increase the legs and hips for more power. Clue: If you are going to fire your lower harder you need to hook about 10 in a row first to get the release happening too early. If not, you will hit pushes and push fades.

Glad you want to keep going. You can do it. The arm unit hinges and rehinges. The body coils and uncoils. It is literally that simple. If you have been hitting with the arms the hinge is too tight. So you work it back and forth until you rarely ever put slice spin on it. This is half right. Then you just need the other half which is the body. Get that and it straightens it out. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oLeKf9Npx6yRh6s.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a8V_Y6tjtrSqn2Q.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jtFnp5yqramzXX0.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qcBiYMeitMfZo4k.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdWcddSovayXeZ8.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oKuHmJx4xtXVqKM.html

Haven't seen you in a while. You're still following me. They talked about him and Vijay in Golf Digest quite a few years ago now. I am totally fine with no contact with this hand because I don't want people hitting with their hands. They are letting go to stay loose or not hit with this hand which is perfectly fine. You can try this as a drill. Just Furyk does a double overlap grip. You could to that too. I would try it if you feel you are hitting with the hands. If it helps I am fine with you doing it into the future.
