The early 90s studios were the best!! I’ve had one since I was 15, bought it from my ex girlfriends dad at the time. I’m 34 now.. it’s been through hundreds of shows and has some nice wear at the edge of the top and back. Love it. Nice find!

i have a 93 bang on the same stats,,no break,,and a deluxe fender strat 2009,,just after a desent lead sound,,used a shergold since 81 great necks,but YNWA

I have one. Mines had black pickguard, knobs, pickup rings, and pickup selector ring with gold hardware.

My 1992 Studio is identical except previous owner replaced pickups with Seymour Duncans. Compared to other Studios mine feels very light but is easy to play and sounds great. Best studios ever made during very early 90’s. I was told Gibson was attempting to sound and play like the LP Custom (hence the Ebony fingerboard) but without the cosmetic bells & whistles. If I ever locate another one from that era I would buy it.

Does yours have the cream pickup rings and pick guard?

@@TroyCastellano mine has the cream pick guard but the previous owner replaced the pick ups and the pickup rings. I also noticed the pick up selector ring is black not cream. I hadn’t even realized that till now.

Troy - Brother, you are such a great player. So smooth - and you sound great with cleaner tones... and of course, with the drive. I love the way you play. Tons of feel! Found you a few months ago by seeing you demo a Wolfgang. I thin it might have been that "Frost Blue" standard. You rock, Bro. Love listening to you play. Cool guitar, too.

The discoloration could b a neck repair

Indeed that was what it was! Someone had repaired it with some carbon fiber and refinished it. Other than the discoloration, it was a pro fix.

No offense but it looks like your guitar has had a neck break and whoever owned it in the past decides to cover up the neck break with black paint. Love that you love it though! I have the same guitar with black plastics from the same year and love it.

Yes, I later found out it was a neck repair. It was repairer well with carbon fiber!
