He was quick to sell, so I'm thinking he may have purchased a storage unit and the cannon was in there? That could explain why he put out $25K when the value was between $35-40K. Or he just wanted to get it out of his unit. Either way a win for him and for the pawn shop :)

Frank Wagoner The apraiser said it would sell 35 to 40. Rick probably never buy it for ore than 28 or 30. He needs to make money off it and the seller knows that.

1:55 in some dutch old cities cannons were used as poles to secure ships to. (Ropes would be tied around what was the back of the cannon that was now standing on its barrel)

I'm pretty sure that cannons manufactured post 1898, (without an exemption) are considered by the ATF to be "destructive devices"... not "explosive devices". But hey, I am not the expert. 🤦‍♂️

Yeah..it was great Rick didn't try to haggle him down. They know what it is worth and the seller was happy. He probably could have got another two or three grand, but it was obvious he wasn't greedy and wanted the artifact to have a good home where it could be appreciated and shared for its historical value.

I'm glad Rick got the cannon.. I hope it went to someone who is using it having fun with it. I try to shoot my Canon at least two three times a year. 4th of July is always the big day
