The 1949 Senior yearbook is very rare. James Dean's Dad lived in Hernando County Florida in the 1980's. My neighbor helped Winton Dean sell and move back to Indiana when his wife,Ethel died around 1988. As a favor Winton, James Dad, gave my friend about 25 pieces of mail from his sons last address in Sherman Oaks. He received the letters and stamped/cancelled envelopes plus one of his High School yrbks from Fairmount. The letters are from fans and business associates. These items are rare and valuable He was offered thousands for the letters .

How to con a pawn broker: ask for a price higher than what u want so they go down to the price u want
@suntanironman
@suntanironman 6 жыл бұрын
You're not going to con a pawn broker that way. Notice how Rick and 'em usually ask the seller "How much were you hoping to get for it?" (or a similar question). There is a good reason for that. The person making the first offer is typically the person negotiating from weaker position. Rick and 'em wants you to make the first offer. Even if the offer is unreasonably high. By making the first offer, you give the pawn broker information to use against you in the negotiation (even if you don't realize it). The pawn broker has information about your position, but because you made the first offer, you have no information about their position yet. If you want to get a small advantage on a pawn broker (not a big advantage, but a small one), insist that the pawn broker makes the first offer. Rick: How much were you hoping to get for it? Seller: Make me an offer. Four words. Very simple sentence. But something like that will give a tiny bit more negotiating power back to the seller. That alone won't give a lot of negotiating power back to the seller (because this is a pawn broker full-time job while it is maybe the seller's first time stepping into a pawn shop), but it helps a little.

Each just sold for $2 K at auction. Dean did not work at pool hall. He took "Rack" because it was the nickname of a relative.

Problem with auctions is that they can get less than what the pawn shop offers. It's always a gamble because maybe the person that is willing to pay 10k might not be there.

James Dean wasnt born in CA though, he was born in Marion, Indiana. He lived in California from when he was around four or five until he was nine. He moved back to Indiana when his mom died.
