most stores wont even make an offer on games that are $1000 + , just not worth it for them to have that much cash tied up and the market is extremely niche and unlikely to walk into their store

Michal Šámal he definitely knows about prices. Go check out his YT channel. And he didn’t sell them, because he has no intention at all to do it. He was called by the producers just to generate more content for the show. Most of these deals are staged.

​@@nolie9695 They're a business and reseller, they need a margin to function and survive. They're usually not kidding when saying "I''m taking the risk here" (the seller has the guaranteed money, the store has yet to sell it). They need to pay a price where they can both have room for the overhead costs, as well as take the hit if it turns out the item is worth less, stolen, market crashes, etc. That being said, some offers can definitely be considered lowballing.

This episode is such a damning example for when someone asks if Pawn Stars is fake or not. Yes, it is. Pat did not want to sell these things.

Fake implied that their is no pawn shop or people with actual historical items. These segments are set up in advanced because it's a controlled environment. You can't just have the shop staffed by the stars and let anyone come into the shop during filming, trying to hog the camera.

@P1 Styles I went there once, they have some of the items from the show on there and specially labeled, “as seen on Pawn Stars.” I am pretty sure that none of the people from the show actually work in the shop. It was all random people.

@@fwef7445 OR if they got laid off from their job and are having a hard time making ends meet, or is everything valuable that sells for a low price by someone "drug money" to you? If this show is so fake, then why do you watch it? I would have walked away with $15,000 if I would have paid at least $5,000-$7,000 less for those to begin with. I am not trying to be PC, but people who assume when someone sells something valuable for much less than it's worth is for drug money should be hit along side the head with a 10 ton wrecking ball.

He even made a video later where he ended up selling them on eBay, and added 'As seen on Pawn Stars' next to the title. Which is actually a genius move. Unless you are desperate for cash RIGHT THEN AND THERE, you might as well go on the show, get it appraised and advertised on TV for free, then sell it online for way more.

Infact, Nintendo has actually been around for 130 years. Not 5 years prior to 1990. They started out as a hand-painting company - selling hand-painted playing cards. They also sold other goods throughout the years, Nintendo is the most popular brand in Japan. So much history 😀
