Honestly with a retail value of about $3200 for the two books, $2000 was quite a generous offer by pawn shop standards. Anything over 50% retail is a good pawn shop offer usually.

I like that, as disappointed as the owner was with the appraisal, he never once questioned Rebecca's expertise and instead just blamed it on the economy.
