However, the views, controversy and clicks makes this a no-brainer for the casino. This kind of content is +EV as fuck for them, unfortunately at the expense of someone not knowing when to stop. Larger size loans into the 6 and 7 figures are typically loans where the loaner typically doesn’t need to worry about payment. It’s people who are looking for the smaller loan amounts that are more sketchy. Anyone looking for a smaller loan to gamble with is more likely to be the degen type who will lose it all quickly and then ghost you.

It’s not really practical unless you have the means to test the gold on hand. Imagine taking a gold coin from someone, then finding out it’s another metal with gold plate on it. Just went from 5grand to 50 cents. It’s not pawn stars, they can’t just call up an expert and get them to validate it. To be honest , I don’t see that as any different as trying to pawn your stuff. You still don’t have cash, you still need to rely on people trusting you. I’d just say keep extra cash on you incase you bust. Or crazy idea, go home. Tonight’s not your night 😂 or if you weren’t a total doughnut(the guy in the clip, not you) people would sort you out without the collateral. Gotta admit though, busting out gold coins at a poker table like a pirate would be pretty cool.

the fact that this dude almost finessed a table of poker players front part of his buy in knowing he wouldn't pay it back is insane. It's obvious he was gonna run off with the bread by the way he kept insisting they give him more for the pawn basically making a sale. All the items are old and used and hes asking for retail value, he'd be getting the better end of the deal. On top of that it becomes more obvious that he wont/cant pay it back when he goes from saying the wire should come in any min to I'll pay you back in a week when he also said he has a flight to leave for later that day.
